Cackles Academy for Witches (Shadow and Natalie)

Onyx nodded slowly and took a deep breath, trying to look brave.

Natalie smiled, and walked into the Temple...or whatever it is.
She glared at Kar.

Onyx stood next to Natalie, her arms folded. Kar looked up boredly, Shadow sitting on a smaller throne next to him.

Natalie looked at Shadow.
"I have never seen anyone that cannot be unbewitched...it can be done...and it will be done..." said Natalie quietly to Onyx, " you can help me with this when I say so...ok?"

Onyx nodded silently.

"Why do you return yet again Vampire?" Kar said, obviously not amused.

"To free Shadow," said Natalie as though it were obvious.

"When will you learn that you can not undo a prophecy that is as old as time itself?" Kar said, rolling his eyes.

"There is another prophecy...I found out about it only recently...a liberater of all ancient magic...that may...or may not...be me...as it said that a muggle born, born on the ninth of october...would be the one to receive the gift..." said Natalie, hopefully without showing she was lying.

"I am a master of prophecies, yet that is not one I have heard of." Kar said.

"It was made not by you...but by...the ministry of magic...and hidden...somewhere secret," said Natalie simply.

"I did not claim to be a creator of prophecies." Kar said. "But I tire of this conversation."

"No...you misunderstand me...and since you tire, then I tire...now...we must end this," said Natalie firmly.

"Yes, we shall finish this." Kar said. "Daughter, you may finish them."

Shadow nodded her head once and stood up, standing opposite Natalie and Onyx.

Natalie stood behind Onyx.
"Cry...cry Onyx...cry now," whispered Natalie in the girl's ear.

Onyx didn't need much to help her. She started to sniff, and soon, tears began to spill from her wide violet eyes. Shadow didn't seem to see this as she adopted a low fight stance, ready to fight Natalie first.

"Cry harder...cry for your mother...tell her you want her back..." whispered Natalie.

"She... she can't see me..." Onyx sobbed, having seen into her mother's mind.

"She'll see you if she thinks you're in real danger...only a loved ones pining can brake through the binds of a prophecy." Natalie whispered.

Natalie looked into Shadow's eyes, took a deep breathe, and took out her wand. She would save Shadow...even if it meant Shadow and Onyx stopped trusting her.
She put her wand to Onyx's head.

"STOP! STOP, OR I CAUSE GREAT PAIN UNTO HER!" Natalie yelled.

Shadow's eyes flickered briefly to violet, then to red, then back again. Sensing his control weakening, Kar stood up, and roared. Tendrils of darkness itself burst from the ground to restrain the young demoness.

Onyx, completely terrified beyond sense, bit Natalie's hand, hard.

Natalie screamed in pain, but kept the wand to the girl's head.
"STOP! OR I WILL KILL HER! I SWEAR I WILL!" Natalie yelled, crossing her hands behind her back.

Onyx let her dark green magic burst out of her, allowing her to get away. The child looked at Natalie with wide, fearful eyes before running away. Kar smirked.

"NO! ONYX!" Natalie screamed, casting a charm which would hopefully stop Onyx, "YOU WILL STAY!"

"NOT A HOPE IN HELL!" Onyx yelled before vanishing from sight.

Natalie, lost for hope, suddenly had an idea.
"SHADOW!" she yelled, putting her wand to her own head, "LOOK AT ME SHADOW!" She took one strand of her hair and set it on fire, "YOU'RE OWN PERSONAL GUIDE ON HOW TO KILL A VAMPIRE!"

Shadow fought against the tendrils of magic keeping her from helping Natalie. Kar watched his daughter with a rather amused experssion on his face.
