Cackles Academy for Witches (Shadow and Natalie)

"Ah...right," said Natalie, smiling, "that's because they...are f-f-f....I'm sorry...I have the inability to insult examiners..." said Natalie quietly.

Shadow smiled slightly.
"Come on. Now, we end this."

Natalie nodded.
"Yes...once and for all...lets go Merlas..." she said to the mare, holding onto her mane.

Shadow nodded and borrowed Onyx's pony. She flew up through the roof of the dome.

Natalie waited for Merlas to take flight.

Merlas nickered a fierce warning to Midnight before launching herself up and through the roof of the dome after Shadow.

Midnight watched the two pegusi go before lying under his mother's blanket with only his nose sticking out.

Natalie held on tight.
"I trust you..." Natalie whispered to the horse.

Merlas snorted quietly in acknowledgement before starting her descent.

Natalie held on tightly, watching overhead to check for dangers.

Merlas landed on the roof of the temple, where Shadow was already standing. She smiled faintly at her friend, before nodding to Merlas. The mare reared up and slammed her hooves into the roof, creating a hole into which she flew down.

Natalie shivered as the flew into the hole.
"Oh the virtical-drop...ness..." she shivered.

Merlas landed in Kar's throne room, where she stood tall, snorting and pawing the ground.

Natalie sat upright on Merlas' back, trying to look threatening....instead, what happened was she lost her balance and fell off.

"Ma bad..." she said, jumping up and dusting herself off.

Merlas sighed and picked Natalie up by the back of her robes, putting the young woman back on her back. Shadow crept in behind Kar,who had just turned to watch Natalie fall off.

Natalie went red, and thanked Merlas with a smile.
"Well..." she said to Kar, "what's the crac?"

"Your imminent death." Kar growled.

"I.Don't.Die," Natalie reminded.

"Then let us put that to the test." Kar said.
"Or how about your death?" Shadow's voice echoed.

Natalie smiled slightly.
"That's right..." she said quietly.

Shadow yelled a spell in Synari, but Kar dodged, starting to fight his daughter. The two exchanged countless blows in a matter of seconds, making it almost impossible to see who was winning.

Natalie sent some curses in Kar's direction, hoping she was getting him.

Kar turned to deflect Natalie's hexes, and Shadow struck, dealing her final blow. Shadow fell to her knees.
"Now, Nat, leave me here. Go..."

"What...no...I need to STAY!" insisted Natalie, frightened.

"You need to go!" Shadow roared. "Fly Merlas!"

The pegasus snorted and leapt up, flying through the roof.

Natalie looked down.
"BE CAREFUL SHADOW!" she yelled, before her friend disappeared from her sight.
