Two-moon tyrant.

'Seriously,' Vladimir coughed, scratching the back of his head, having an idiotic grin on his face, 'It was nothing.'
Vladimir looked around. He didn't hear anything, but he forgot about the wounded. They were going to die. Vladimir cursed out loud, 'Sh*t!' And ran to the pilots. One was unconscious, and the other was dizzy. The third one was standing, looking at the carnage. Vladimir shouted out, 'Hey, you!'
The pilot looked at Vladimir, shocked.
'Yeah! You! Pack up the wounded into the left chopper and send them to emergency!
'B-But, there isn't enough space!'
'You want to die here?'
The pilot jumped, and started hauling the unconscious people into the left chopper.
That's good and all, Vladimir thought, but then, how the hell do we get out of here?

Shadow was having a conversation in low tones with her two daughters, clearly not amused by the turn of events on what was supposed to have been a simple excercise.

Vladimir glanced at the small group. 'Hey, the choppers came from that direction,' Vladimir pointed out at a point in the horizon, 'There's a city back there. We might be able to reach it if we continue in that direction.

"Then let us depart." Shadow said, nodding at Vladimir and starting to head in that direction. She was not in the best of moods. Archangel and Onyx had been alone with a total stranger that Shadow herself didn't trust. Even though she knew that the twins could look after each other, she also knew that they had a very serious weakness.

'Right,' Vladimir agrred, and started to march towards the direction he pointed at. His purple cloak waved in the sandy wind as it brewed slowly. He tightened his cloak, and then his left glove. At each step, you could hear a sandy crunch under his feet.

The trio of demons walked lightly over the sand, hardly making a sound. Silence reigned between the three, even though Archangle and Onyx kept glancing at each other as they walked.

--We need something desperate to happen. Let's think...--
Vladimir looked at the sky. He didn't know why, but he felt like the sky was attracting him. Was there something up there he had forgotten of? Or maybe... Yes, there must be something so that he was looking at it like that.

Shadow followed Vladimir's gaze.
"What are you looking at?" She asked. Then she stopped, sniffing the air. In the distance, something was sending up clouds of dust, and she could smell burning diesel.

'The sky,' Vladimir answered. His ears pricked a sound. He looked at the horizon. Even before he really identified where the sound came from exactly, he said, 'We need to get out of here, quickly.'

Shadow nodded shortly and broke into a run, heading in the opposite direction from the sand cloud. Her twins followed her.

Vladimir began to run in the same direction, then looked back. The vehicle was going to find them sooner or later. They weren't out of problems as of now, he thought. He then looked up front, and flicked the security off his gun.

Archangel and Onyx sighed. They were never going to outrun the engines that they could hear in the distance. All the same, it was better to put up a fight rather than just give up.

Vladimir heard distant gunshots. He saw some sand puff up like small geysers from the ground as bullets missed their targets and hit the ground. Vladimir felt a few coming to him, and he dodged them without complexity. He then flicked out his gun, and fired at one tire of one vehicle. He heard a loud bang as the tire got holed, and the jeep started to slow down and turn into diverse directions.

The demon trio stopped and turned to face the convoy, Shadow looking like she was going to kill something or someone. She wasn't going to let a threat to her children go unnoticed like that.

Vladimir noticed the other jeeps coming.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5... 6. 6 jeeps coming. They're sending the big stuff.
Vladimir closed one eyes, and pointed at the tires of the closest jeep. He pointed at the right tire, so that the jeep would fall to the right, blocking most of the other jeeps for a while. He shot, and then a loud bang was heard. The jeep did as predicted.
But didn't stop any jeeps. They rolled over the vehicle, like devastators.
Okay, now they REALLY WANT TO GET ME.

Shadow looked at Archangel and Onyx, barking an order in demonic. The twins looked about to refuse, but Shadow snapped another order. The twins nodded once, looking upset, but they vanished. Shadow was waiting for the jeeps to get a little bit closer before she launched her own attack. Trying to attack with magic over this long a distance would drain her energy reserves considerably.

Vladimir crouched, one leg up front, one knee touching the ground, the leg going at back. He closed one eye, put his right arm under his left arm, and shot multiple times at the jeeps. Some of them stopped, only to continue a short time after.
Okay, I need to say it; We're both in danger!
'Shadow,' Vladimir began, 'If you help me, the humans are also going to put a price on your head. Maybe you shouldn't be helping me.'

Shadow snorted.
"I already have a price on my head, so I don't really care to be honest."
She didn't seem fazed by the approaching jeeps any more, she was just waiting for the right moment to fight.

Vladimir glared at the jeeps. He couldn't flee. So, basically, he thought, he was going to be accused of defending himself, because people were accusing him of things he had never done (well, not purposely...). Vladimir squinted, and shot again. He shot three times, doing no effect on the incoming jeeps. Only 7 bullets left...
Vladimir cursed his situation in his mind.

Shadow decided that he jeeps were close enough and launched her magic, sending short streams of it towards the incoming vehicles as she hovered a few feet in the air, not really caring where the bolts of magic hit as long as they slowed the onslaught of jeeps.

The jeeps started to counterattack by shooting long streams of bullets in their direction. Vladimir pushed Shadow away, as he thought she didn't have the same skill of dodging bullets, and then he fired at two jeeps.
5 left...
Vladimir thought that he could reload, but the situation was too desperate; if he stopped shooting to recharge his gun, Shadow might get hurt, and he might get caught in the process from not slowing down any vehicles.

Shadow turned a cartwheel, landing after Vladimir had pushed her away. Her mind was blurred, too many thoughts and calculations going through her head. The jeeps were getting closer and closer, but Shadow couldn't think of any attacks she could use, short of going demonic.

Vladimir fired two more times, still doing nothing.
3 bullets left...
A wave of bullets were shot at Vladimir, all missing, as he dodged most of the bullets, and some got lost, and hit the ground, sprouting towers of sand, then falling down again. Vladimir had to do something, quick. But he couldn't find anything to do in this situation.

Shadow deftly dodged a small hail of bullets, unable to dodge them all, allowing some to hit her in non fatal points. She started to throw bolts of magic again, not caring where they hit within the convoy of vehicles.

'Watch out!' Vladimir cried out as he noticed Shadow get shot. In the current situation, Vladimir couldn't help Shadow, because he couldn't run away with extra weight on his legs from jeeps. He had to do something, but what? He couldn't do anything. He only had a gun with three bullets left, a twisted belt buckle, and a thing to get into the worst situations whenever possible.
