Bad things, good things, all depends on the point of view.

Val Keshra backed away a few paces as he noticed that Raven was injured but still fighting. He blocked the attacks. Raven's attacks were heavy and precise. She knew where and how to hit. But Val Keshra had the advantage of having two blades, enabling both defense and attack at the same time. Val Keshra ducked, and then jumped near Raven, blade pointed outwards.

Raven didn't move, she didn't even try to defend herself. One of the soldiers was shouting something to her in Synari, but she wasn't listening.

Val Keshra slashed with one blade, making him turn around, and he slashed with the other. He didn't look at Raven, and he backpaced two steps. His eyes glistened blue and yellow lights, and he looked up at his opponent.

Raven had a small smile on her face, seemingly relieved. Her leg gave way beneath her, and she fell onto her side, blood welling up in the two wounds to her chest and stomach. Although her eyes were half closed, as if in death, she continued to breath. The Synari warriors murmured amongst themselves in their own tongue, seemingly marvelling at this strange person's ability to take down one of their best fighters.

Val Keshra closed his eyes, them glistening as he did so. He stood up, and bowed slightly to Raven.
Ahrach opened his eyes. His vision was blurred as his recent collision had made him dizzy. He put his head into the palm of his face. He felt his arms transform back into human-like arms. He tried standing up, but his back cracked as he did so, and he fell down again.
'Urgh!' Ahrach grunted, thumping one hand on the ground. He tensed his fist, and slowly stood up. He opened his eyes again, and his vision slowly became normal. What happened?
Ahrach looked around. He nticed Val Keshra with blood-stained blades, and he was slightly wounded. Who was he fighting?
Ahrach then noticed Raven. His eyes opened wide. 'Raven!' He yelled, as he crouched down near her.
Val Keshra turned his head to Ahrach. 'She lost, young Ahrach,' he said, calmly. Ahrach glared up at Val Keshra, yelling, 'She lost because you broke a rule! This was supposed to be a loyal fight! You used my weapon!'
Ahrach put his hand on Raven's neck, checking for a pulse. Ahrach glared at Val Keshra, who glared back for a long time.

Raven's pulse thudded rapidly, the drenaline rush from the fight only just starting to wear off. Arias, however, didn't seem to mind that Raven had been compromised. She was watching Val Keshra with a renewed interest. Shadow was staring with wide eyes at Ahrach, wondering if he realised that Raven would be really p*ssed if she came back to her senses.

Val Keshra closed his eyes. He turned to Arias, his eyes blaring yellow and blue light, amking a slight green colour. He didn't speak, but his act was enough to say what he wanted now. Ahrach glared at Val Keshra, one palm still on Raven's neck. He took it off. Raven was surely someone not to mess with, Ahrach thought, but she had better not move while he was trying to do somethng about the wounds. He glared once at Val Keshra, then looked back at Raven, and flipped her over gently so that she would be on her back. He took a knife from a sheath under his shirt, and planted it into the ground.
If ever I need it.
Ahrach examined the wounds. he had already gotten medical training, as his sister had taught him.

Arias gazed back at Val Keshra calmly, not fazed by his stance. Meran shifted his own stance, winding his hand further into Shadow's hair to stop her moving, the knife still at her throat. Raven flinched as Ahrach touched the wound on her stomach, frowning as she looked at him, but she had no energy left to fight against it.

Ahrach stood up, and walked to his weapon, still planted into the ground. With one short grab, he shot the scythe out of it's dirty sheath, and he approched it to Raven. He pressed on the spike, turned it, making a small clicking noise. He took off the spike, put his finger into the tube, then pulled out a long piece of white cloth. He put the spike back, then looked at the cloth. I never thought I would have to use this for someone else's sake.
Ahrach put another finger into the tube, and took out a small and thin bottle. He opened it with his mouth, and dabbed the liquid on his fingers. Nothing better than kuijin ointment.
Ahrach looked at the wounds, and dabbed his fingers onto the outer edges of the open wounds. As he did so, he unrolled the long strip of cloth.

Raven face creased into a snarl as Ahrach touched the wounds again, her hands balling into fists, digging grooves into the dirt. Arias continued to gaze at Vla Keshra, waiting for him to admit that he had broken the rules of combat by using someone else's weapon. She was, of course, purposly forgetting Raven's use of one of her sister's swords.

'Yes,' Val Keshra answered, 'I used anothers weapon,'
Ahrach glared at Val Keshra. He glared back.
'But do not forget that Raven broke her part of the rule, also. It's only fair to have equality during fight, sin't it,' Val Keshra turned to Arias, 'Arias?'

Ahrach grunted, and ripped the strands of cloths, carefully wrapping them around Raven's bloodied body, lifting her slightly for him able to put the cloth under. He tightened the knots, and cut the extra bits off by using the blade of his knife. He put the knife into his mouth, and dabbed a bit more ointment onto the cloth. Anaestetic, desinfectant, and calming pills, all into one. Great thing, kuijin ointment.

A flash of annoyance passed over Arias' face for a split second.
"Then we shall depart." She said after a moment's thought. The High Priestess and her minions turned to leave, Meran half dragging Shadow with him. Arias glanced back over her shoulder once.
"Leave Raven." She said.

Ahrach glared at Arias when she spoke those words. Leave a dying person like this? Worthless maggots. Ahrach sighed, and he looked at Raven. He couldn't see her face, but she was probably pretty angry at the kuijin. He put the cloth and ointment back into the scythe, and clipped the spike back on. He gazed at Raven.

Arias, Meran with Shadow and the rest of the Synari warriors started to walk back into the darkness of the forest. Raven painfully turned over to her side, one arm outstretched as if she was calling to them to take her with them. She whimpered quietly. The life with the Synari army was the only one that she had known and felt comfortable with, and now they were leaving her behind.

Ahrach glared at Val Keshra. 'You were only supposed to bring her down,'
Val Keshra looked back at Ahrach, as calm as ever, 'As you can see, that's what I did, young Ahrach.'
'You didn't need to seriously wound her!'
Val Keshra lifted his hand, and forced a telkinetic grip around Ahrach's neck. 'I did what needed to be done, Ahrach. Don't force me to bring you down too.'
Ahrach growled, and transformed into an eagle to escape Val Keshra's grip. He transformed back into a human after flapping a few meters away, and he crouched near Raven a second time.

Raven's quiet whimpers died down as the Synari army, Shadow, Arias and Meran disappeared into the darkness of the trees. Merlas, who had been tied to a tree, strained against the ropes, but couldn't manage to break them.

Ahrach crouched near Raven, eyes closed. As Val Keshra passed, Kaera blurted out, 'Val,' and Val Keshra quickly turned his head to Kaera, eyes glistening. Kaera felt scared of Val Keshra now. He had never known him like this. He had never done a loyal battle in front of her eyes. So this is what it's like...
Val Keshra, hearing nothing more, turned his head, and continued his way to Shadow.

Raven closed her eyes, trying to bury the pain of being left behind by her 'family'. Her nails dug grooves in the dort as she clenched her hand into a fist. Deeper into the woods, Shadow was struggling against Meran's hold again, the dagger against her throat starting to draw blood.

Val Keshra fastened his pace to Shadow. As he arrived to the group, he stopped, then glared at Arias.
'Arias, the deal.' he said, simply, his eyes glistening blue and yellow lights. His blade glinted in the sunlight as he twitched both arms at the same time to a different angle.

Arias glared back at Val Keshra as she halted the troops.
"The demoness belongs to us." She said simply.

'Raven lost, Arias,' Val Keshra continued, his eyes blaring now with yellow and blue lights, making a slight greenish taint, 'You lost the deal. Hand us Shadow.'
Val Keshra crouched slightly. He wasn't sure if they would counterattack. But better safe than sorry.

Arias ground her teeth, but turned to Meran, muttering something in Synari. The Senator scowled, but then he gave an evil half smile as Ariassaid something else. He let the demoness go, but he drew the dagger across her throat, allowing the black blood to spill.

Val Keshra caught Shadow from falling. He was surprised by their sudden reaction. He glared up at them. He could not use his telekinesis to heal Shadow, as it would push the blood back down, and have no effect. he could only slow the blood flow, but then risk making Shadow go into coma. He picked up Shadow, and gently put her near Ahrach, who nodded once, and took the cloth and ointment back from the stick of his scythe.

Arias and the rest of the troops turned their backs, vanishing into the forest again. Shadow put a shaking hand up to her throat, barely managing to draw breath. Vrael, who had been knocked unconscious before, knelt beside his sister, assessing the wound.

Ahrach handed the cloth and ointment to Vrael. Ahrach looked at Vrael, and pointed to the ointment. 'Kuijin medicine. Desinfectant, anaestetic, and sleeping pills, all put in one. Put some on your hands and dab the wounds if you need it.' Ahrach said.
