Bad things, good things, all depends on the point of view.

Raven didn't notice Ahrach at first, but then she noticed him.
"You defyed me and stayed." She said. "Why?"

'I... have my reasons,' Ahrach answered simply. He looked into Raven's eyes. Even though he didn't know her well, he knew what Raven would do if he really said the true answer. He pulled his pant leg down, noticing that his foot was slightly discovered. He kept his hands in his sleeves.

Raven looked at Ahrach.
"We both know you're not normal, so you don't need to be so self-conscious." She said, wondering what was going through his mind.

Ahrach looked down. he was nervous. That's why he was fiddling with his clothes, or always moving. He scraped the ground using one claw of his foot. He looked at Raven. He couldn't get how or why this happened, but what happens just happens. Nothing to do about that.

Raven gazed back at him, seemingly calm, but her mind was trying to get round this. Karthreagan was on earth, and he was looking for Shadow. She had to do something, but she didn't know what.

'What are you thinking of?' Ahrach asked, glancing left and right for humans, or maybe even Karthragan. He put his hand on the hilt of his dagger. His golden eyes glistened as he passed a small spot of light.

"It's getting close to the beginning of the Prophecy, and I'm supposed to lead Karthragan to Shadow." Raven explained briefly.

- I'm putting the prophecy itself in 'Night of the New Moon' -

--What do you mean? You mean you're just mentioning it in 'Night of the New Moon'? Or actually doing the prophecy in 'Night of the New Moon'?--

Ahrach gazed at Raven. A prophecy?
'You're supposed to lead Karthragan to Shadow. Why didn't you do it?' Ahrach's words sounded like the came from the man of a morgue. He wanted to know, but he had this monotone intonation in his voice.

--Eat, brb--

- ok. And I mean that it's going to start (AKA, actually playing it) on the new moon. -

"I couldn't..." Raven said quietly, looking away from Ahrach again. "I just couldn't." She didn't know what to do now, knowing that karthragan was goin to be coming after her as well as Shadow now.

--I better get Bart on there, then, right?--

'I understand that choice, Raven,' Ahrach answered, approaching her. 'For a member of my family, I would of done the same thing. It was the right choice.' Ahrach tried to recomfort Raven, even though he was probably doin it in vain.

- If you want to join in. -

"It was the right choice, perhaps , but now we're in more trouble than ever. He's going to be really p*ssed."

'I guess "we're" is the right word,' Ahrach answered, 'I'm helping you on this, whether you like it or not. I'm not letting you down yet.' Ahrach pulled his pant leg down to hide his bird-like leg. He scuffled his sleeve so that it would go over his arm. His golden eyes glinted.

"It's dangerous," Raven warned. "Very dangerous." Then she stopped and through for a moment.
"Why are you so intent on helping me? You healed me after the battle, you followed when I ran..."

'Ah... Eh,' Ahrach stuttered, looking sideways, 'Because I don't have anything... Else to do?'
Yeah, right, Ahrach. Now it's really obvious. Jesus Christ.
Ahrach looked at Raven. 'I guess you can find out by yourself.'

Raven looked completely confused.
"No, I can't. I don't know."

Ahrach sighed a bit. 'Okay, fine, I'll tell you why I'm helping you,' Ahrach said, turning around, and looking at Raven. 'I'm helping you because... Because...'
Okay, Christ with this. I have to throw myself into saying it.
Ahrach looked downwards, slightly blushing. 'Because I love you.'

Raven looked stunned, stunned to the point where she actually fell off the horse. After a few moments of pain, she picked herself up.
"Are you serious?!"

Ahrach sighed slightly as he noticed Raven fall off the ecuine. He crouched down next to her. 'Why would I be lying, Raven?' he asked. He was kinda scared of the multiple answers that could come out of Raven's mouth right now.
-Talk, then slap.
-Slap.

"Ok, so I take it that you haven't heard everyone else's reports about me." Raven said dully.

'No, but that has no matter for me,' Ahrach explained, trying to keep calm, and not trying to think about what Raven did before. Ahrach pulled his shirt sleeves down, to his his forearms. He glanced back at Raven, and gazed into her eyes.

Raven looked away from Ahrach, using getting back on Merlas' back as an excuse not to look at him. She was confused, as the last time she had loved someone, she ended up alone with two kids.

Ahrach stood up, next to Merlas. He wondered where they were going to go now, as they needed to get away from Karthragan. He looked up at Raven, high above him, as she was on a horse. Ahrach was tall, but the horse was the same. Ahrach sighed, and closed his eyes. He opened them again, his golden pupils glinting in the sunlight as he did so.

Raven looked down at the mane.
"What do we do now?"

'I thought you knew the answer, Raven,' Ahrach said, looking up at her. She was beautiful to his eyes. A small blow of wind flicked one of his bangs into his eye. He blew it out, and gzed up at Raven again, still waiting for an answer.

"We need to stay away from Shadow." Raven said slowly, trying to think.
