Bad things, good things, all depends on the point of view.

Ahrach, noticing that Raven had gone, lifted his eyes slightly, to meet Shaeman's. He glared at him, genlty caressing the blade of his scythe. It glistened as his eyes did, tilted in the few rays of light left, prepared. His clawed feet scraped the ground gently.

Shaeman glared back, his silver hair falling over his eyes, but he made no move to continue the fight. Merlas kept a wary eye on the demon, ready to spring into action.

Ahrach continued to caress his blade, as if he was going to use it in a near future. He stood up, using his scythe. He glared at Shaeman, but then turned his sight to something else. He looked at the sky, appearing slightly red as the sun was going to set. It had been a long day, and Ahrach was tired. He wasn't even going to risk himself near Shaeman anymore, seeing on how he protected his sister. he preferred sleeping outside, like he had been days before.

Merlas escorted Shaeman to the door of the house before wandering back to the rear of the house. Everyone was winding down for the night. Raven lay on her side, looking blankly at a wall, cursing her brother within her mind.

Ahrach walked over to the wall of the house, then sat on the ground, leaning his back against one of its walls. His scythe laid also beside him, under one hand. He put a hand to the grip of the dagger he had under his shirt. He let his hair fall down in front of his eyes. The coldness of the dark night soon enveloped him, but he was used to it, and he closed his eyes, thinking.

Raven wrapped her blanket around her shoulders again, walking outside silently. She closed her eyes and, when she had sensed his location, went to join Ahrach.

Ahrach looked up at Raven, no particular emotion on his face. "Wouldn't it be better for you to stay in a comfortable bed, Raven?" he whispered to her silently, "I mean, for now, the wounds still seem very vulnerable, so..."

"I don't care for now," Raven said, leaning her back against the wall, taking care not to allow any of the sqmall cuts laced over her back to touch it. She closed her eyes lightly, listening to the sounds of the coming night.

Ahrach lowered his head, looking at the ground.
"Your choice," Ahrach muttered, as an answer. He unsheathed his dagger, and put it up to his face. He looked at it, seeing his reflection inside the cold metal. He tilted the dagger slightly at an angle, and met Raven's reflection.

Raven had leant her head back against the wall with a silent sigh, contemplating the stars that were starting to show. She remembered a couple of failed lessons during which Shadow had attempted to teach her how to read the stars. Raven had given that up fairly quickly.

Ahrach sheathed his dagger again, keeping a hand on the grip. He put another hand on his scythe, and lowered his head, closing his eyes. He concentrated on the surroundings. He heard nothing. He opened his eyes, and glanced in different directions. He saw nothing. Ahrach then breathed in slowly. He smelled nothing. Good.

Raven drifted into a light doze, breathing silently. She still kept an ear out for anything possibly hostile, but so far there was nothing.

Ahrach looked at Raven as she fell asleep, and he let out a little chuckle as he smiled slightly. He then looked up at the moonlit sky, the shining full moon tracing a silver circle in the blackness of the atmosphere above his head. The rays of light coming from the moon hit onto Ahrach's scythe, reflecting the light.

Raven opened her eyes again a few moments later, taking in the sight of the moon in the cloudless sky. She turned her violet gaze to look at Ahrach.
"I'm sorry again about Shaeman's behaviour..."

"Mhh," Ahrach answered, taking his look off the shining bright moon, to gaze at Raven, "Don't worry, my sister would've been the same. If she found out about this, she would probably kill me," Ahrach continued, with a smile on his mouth.

"I guess it's normal for over prtective siblings then," Raven said with a small half smile. She leant her head against the wall again, not taking her violet gaze off Ahrach.

"Yeah. I just got slightly angered after," Ahrach explained, "Because I knew that my sister was like that, so I never got into the situation." Ahrach gazed in Raven's violet eyes. "But now as I'm totally free, I can do anything I want."

Raven gazed back into Ahrach's eyes, gold meeting violet.
"Shaeman won't be bothering us either, and the rest of the family accepts my choices." She said, her head tilted slightly to one side.

"Mmh," Ahrach answered simply, smiling at Raven. He turned back to the moon, shining high up. The light projected by the moon hit Ahrach's face, illuminating it. "I remember when I was a kid," Ahrach began, "I thought I could catch the moon, because I could turn into an eagle. I tried once, and I found out it was a bad idea. But the sensation up there is so... Recomforting."

Raven nodded.
"When i first joined the army, I used to try to fly between the two moons of Synairn in the fastest time possible..."

"Heh," Ahrach chuckled, "The first -and last, for that matter- time I went up to the moon," he continued, "I got very high up in alititude. It was almost impossible to breathe, and the temperature was extremely cold. I could only get a temperature regulation thanks to the heat bubbles that detach themselves from the ground, and rise into the air. The moon didn't even approach one centimeter to me. I fell, almost unconscious. if I had gone up higher, I would've been dead," Ahrach said, with a slight laugh.

Raven laughed quietly.
"Things that you do when you're young. At least you're still here to tell the tale..."

"Yes, I guess so," Ahrach answered, "But when I was up there, I felt... Serene, for some reason. Like if nothing mattered. I always told myself after that that one day I would go back up there again." Ahrach then stood silent for a bit. He glanced at Raven, then stood up, a smile on his face.

Raven stood up, holding one hand out to Ahrach.
"We could go now," She suggested.

Ahrach took Raven's hand, and entwined his fingers with hers. This was a new feeling, but he soon got used to it. He gazed back into Raven's eyes. "You sure? Even with your wounds?" he asked, a slight smile on his face.
