Bad things, good things, all depends on the point of view.

Merlas dropped the agressive stance, nickering softly. A black-cloaked figure was walking through the trees towards the group. Merlas shifted her hooves slightly, but didn't try to run.

Ahrach unsheathed his dagger, and put it into his mouth. He took his scythe with two hands, and went into a combat stance. Who's that? He thought, after noticing the cloaked figure. He tried to perceive some details on the body, but everything was covered with clothing. He didn't know if he saw that from somewhere.

Vrael gave a half smile as the figure came closer.
"Shadow!" He said, striding over to her.

Ahrach lowered his weapon. he arranged his scythe back onto his back, and he spat out the dagger he kept in his mouth. He sheathed the dagger, making a slight metal-against-metal sliding noise, and it glinted in the light. He pulled his shirt over it. 'Back so soon?' he asked.

Shadow had head head down, even as Vrael hugged her, telling her off for running like that. Shadow pushed Vrael away, looking up at the others. She didn't answer Ahrach.

Something's wrong, Ahrach thought. She's too silent.
Ahrach stood silent. He crossed his arms, and waited for an answer to his previous question, even if he doubted that Shadow would answer. He tapped his foot against the ground under the cloth of his pants. It lifted and descended as he did so. As Ahrach glanced left and right, his eyes glistened.

Shadow moved away from Vrael. Merlas nickered questionningly, not understanding. Vrael frowned. Even Raven looked puzzled by her sister's behaviour. Shadow suddenly turned and ran, morphing into a wolf in mid-bound.

Ahrach stared wide-eyed at Shadow. He lifted one eyebrow. 'Does this happen often?' Ahrach asked Vrael, turning to him. 'All the... Well, what just happened.' Ahrach turned his head to Shadow, as she went away. What on earth is she doing?

"No, it is not normal, but these are hardly times when normal may have a hold on the behaviour of my family." Vrael said, frowning after Shadow's departing figure.

'Hm,' Ahrach answered simply. 'What now? We continue in the same direction as before?' he asked, pointing in the specific direction. His scythe glinted in the sunlight as he did so. He closed one eye as it went into a beam of light coming from the sun, above the trees, hiding it almost completely.

Vrael nodded once, starting to head out. Merlas looked troubled, but followed, head down.

Ahrach continued along the path. A sway of wind made his brownish hair sway with it, along with his dark clothing. His scythe glinted as it passed under the few sunlight beams, and his golden pupils glistened yellow lights. His feet made small crunching noises as the claws met little rocks.

Merlas' hooves thudded lightly, and she snorted. Raven closed her eyes again, trying to think.

Ahrach put a hand in his pocket. he took out a glinting coin, which he flipped, and got a series of 'heads', then finally getting a 'tails', and then getting 'heads' again. He frowned at the coin. He cleaned one side of it, then continued flipping. Ahrach was bored. Where were they going like this anyways?
'Where are we going?' he finally asked.

"Away from here." Vrael said, basically meaning that he had no clue either.

Ahrach looked at Raven, then looked back forwards. Kay, we'll see where we get to.
Ahrach flipped his coin, not bothered by the answer. He rolled his eyes, and kept on flicking the coin. It glinted in the sunlight once, then he caught it. Is this all going to end badly? he thought. He flipped the coin again, caught it into the air, then flipped it onto the back of his hand. Heads.
Ahrach frowned.

Vrael walked alongside Merlas silently, thinking. He laid a hand on the mare's neck, glad that he wasn't the one on her back. Vrael couldn't ride to save his life! Raven drifted off to sleep again, the regularity of the mare's pace soothing her.

Ahrach put away the coin into his pocket, it glinting in the sunlight as he did so. He looked forwards, and slowed his pace down a bit to let the others catch up to him. He kept a hand on the hilt of his dagger, and he glanced right and left. His clothes swayed gently as he moved on forwards, hiding his bird-like body.

"I sense that our home is not far. You are welcome tostay a while." Vrael said, turning his gaze to Ahrach. He had sensed something, but he didn't know what.

'Hm,' Ahrach muttered. He took out his dagger, his golden eyes gleaming. He played with the dagger, spinning it around in his hands with agility. He sheathed the dagger again. He turned slightly to Vrael.
'Thanks,' he uttered.

Vrael nodded his head once in acknowledgement, continuing his walk. Raven had dozed off on Merlas' back again, her head resting on the mare's neck.

Ahrach continued to walk, his large stride looming upon the small rocks that presented themselves along the dirty path. His black clothing swayed gently in the brisk wind, making animated shadows dance across the ground. His golden eyes looked across the ground, watching where every step of his landed.

Vrael sighed slightly as he saw the small house that the clan kept long with their other house. Both were located deep in forests, and had magical protection around them. Merlas stopped, allowing Vrael to carefully pull Raven off her back before wandering off around the back.

Ahrach sighed slightly, and he followed Vrael, twirling his unsheathed dagger in his hands, his fingers dancing around it frenetically, in order to maintain the stability of the dagger. A soft blow of wind blew through his hair as he walked towards Vrael.

Vrael helped Raven to walk into the house, and into a room that looked somewhat like a miniature hospital. Laying the demoness on one bed, he started to work on her injuries more fully.
"So, may I enquire as to your origins?" He asked Ahrach without looking round.
