Coping. (Post Prophecy)

Bart heard the words, and he nodded, even if he knew that Shadow couldn't seem him. He quickly put his bracelets on. He hadn't noticed that he had turned demonic, and that his purple fur came back to their original brown colour. He felt the bone spikes enter back into his body, as a loud crack suggested that his shoulderblades came back into their previous location. He then started to jump away, in direction of Shadow's flat. D*mn, we messed up...

Wraith was sitting up on the roof of the flats again, looking out in the direction of the research lab. She whined quietly, wishing someone would come back soon.

Bart arrived at Shadow's flat quickly. He landed on the rooftop without a sound, and he dashed to Shadow's flat entrance. He hurriedly opened the door, making it slam against the wall behind it. He entered, fastening his pace, and took a towel. He put the towel on the table, then laid Dominique onto the table. He analyzed the wounds.
She was hit twice by the bullets in her right leg, once in the left, and twice in the body, once in the bust, and once in the right arm.
Bart gulped. This situation reminded him of his first encounter with Shadow.
Okay, first, we need to desinfect. Then, take the bullets out. After that, I'll need to use my magic to heal her. i've already done it a couple of times. You can do it again, Bart.
Bart went into the bathroom, opening a closet, looking for medical stuff. He rummaged through the medicine, finding desinfectant. he took some cotton, then poured the liquid onto the cotton. He came back to Dominique, who was still squirming slightly. He put the desinfectant on one wound, and she moaned from pain. Bart did so for the other wounds. Now, extraction.
Bart reverted to his human form. He passed desinfectant on his hands, then washed them, and passed desinfectant again. He put his hands on the table, almost slamming them. Now, I've never done this. I hope I'm doing it right...

Wraith sat quietly next to Bart, having followed him down the stairs. She watched in silence, her ears pricked slightly.

Bart then gulped. He watched Dominique as she was breathing heavily, blood streaming from her open bullet wounds. She opened her eyes, and looked at Bart, saying nothing. Bart nodded, and closed Dominique's eyes by pulling a hand over her eyes. Bart looked at the wounds. Okay, I'm going to go from bottom to top.
Bart put his fingers in the wound of her leg, stretching it a bit. Hearing Dominique yell of pain, Bart quickly took out the bullet. Tears appeared in her eyes. I need to do this quickly...
He then continued onto the second wound on her right leg. He pulled the bullet out, throwing it onto another table near him. He reached for the left leg, and stuck in his fingers. He pulled out the bloody bullet, gulping once, and throwing it away. He then looked at all the wounds left. He looked at Dominique, who was sobbing quietly. He gulped again, and continued. Up to the body, now...
Bart put his fingers in the two bullet wounds, and quickly pulled out the bullets. Dominique screamed from pain, and let ehr head drop freely onto the table where she lied on. Bart closed his eyes tight, and continued with the right arm, having finished the body. He pulled out the bullet. He only noticed now that the blood appeared as patches on the table, spreading quickly. Dominique was pale. He gulped again. There's one bullet left in the bust.
Bart reached up to Dominique's upper body. He looked at his hands, watching what he was doing with them. He pulled back. Oh God, I can't do this. Bart felt a tug on his shirt. A very faint tug. He looked at it. Dominique's hand was clasping the bottom of his shirt. He looked at Dominique, having opened her eyes again. "J... do...t." she muttered, before coughing up blood. Bart nodded. He looked at the wound for some seconds, then decided himself. He put his hand on Dominique's bust, inserting his fingers into the wound. He then quickly pulled out the bullet, Dominique yelling one more time. She then fell, almost dead. Bart took off his silver bracelets, and summoned his magic. Don't die yet, Dominique.... Black sparks flew across the room.

Wraith was whimpering, pawing at the ground and running in tight, frantic circles. As a canine, she could sense the emotions in the air as well as Shadow could. Along with the smell of fresh blood assulting her nostrils and the fact that she didn't fully understand what was going on, the wolf was going beserk.

Bart put his hands on Dominique's body. He thought of what he did to heal Shadow. C'mon, c'mon, C'MON!
The wounds started to fade away, but Dominique didn't move. That's when Bart noticed that Wraith was going completely crazy, and he couldn't concentrate right. "Wraith, just shut the f*ck up!"

Wraith lay down silently with her head on her paws, tail tucked tightly around her and ears back.

Bart began healing Dominique again, noticing purple fur crawling up his before bare skin. A tail appeared, whiplashing at the air, turning purple. Long claws spread out from his fingers, as he laid his hands onto Dominique's wound, making them fade out.

Wraith didn't move a muscle, trying not to disturb Bart. She guessed from the smell of blood that the situation was serious. Pricking her ears slightly, she trotted out of the room, her claws making small clicking sounds on the wooden floors. She returned a couple of moments later with a bag of blood carried carefully in her mouth so as not to break the plastic. She paced it next to Bart, sitting back and wagging her tail.

Bart looked down at Wraith, almost smiling. He nodded once, taking the bag of blood, and attaching it to Dominique's arm. The blood from the bag started to flow. I hope this is the right type of blood... But he didn't try to think of that. What mattered now was healing Dominique.
He put his hands on her already disappearing wounds, bursting out sparks, them flowing into the body like breezes of air. The wounds disappeared. Bart looked at Dominique, his purple fur flowing. She had already regained a bit of colour. Bart put his hand onto her heart. It was beating. Slowly, but steadily, which was a good sign. Bart sighed. He fell to the ground, his arms twitching involuntarily. He bit his lip, breathing heavily. Guess I overdosed myself there...

Wraith whined quietly, sitting in front of Bart and licking his hand lightly. She recognised the symptoms from the numerous occasions Shadow had over stretched herself slightly.

Bart smiled faintly at Wraith. He looked at th canine in the eyes, lifting one weak hand to the wolf's head and ruffling its fur. Bart then stood up, wobbling slightly. He looked at Dominique, who was sleeping. Her wounds were healed, and the bullets were extracted. I hope I did what I needed to. Now I'm really forced to forge a family with her, because she's going to be dtermined to save Shadow just for that.

Wraith's plumy tail thumped the floor a couple of times before the wolf suddenly bounded to the door, barking.

Bart opened his eyes in alert. He put his ilver bracelets back on, his purple fur sinking back into his now bare skin. His four red eyes melded into two, and became their dirty sky colour. The tail disappeared, slithering back into his spine. His long claws quickly morphed back into nails. Bart then took off his silver bracelets, and put them in his pockets, feeling the necklace. It's still there.
Bart walked up to Wraith. He wondered if someone was at the door. He looked out the peephole.

A small, blue haired girl timidly knocked at the door, causing Wraith to burst out with another volley of barks. The girl took a small step back, but then put on a more determined face.

Bart lifted one eyebrow. Doesn't seem hostile. But you can't get too cautious. He quickly but quietly dashed to Dominique's table. He then yelled out. "Coming!" and he took up Dominique. She slept heavily, and Bart almost smiled at her. He turned to Shadow's room, and opened the door with his foot. He posed Dominique gently on the bed, pulling the covers up to her neck. She squirmed slightly, onto her side. Bart gazed at her for a while, then turned back to the bloody table. I need to do this quick, before it gets fishy. Bart took a towel, and started cleaning the table from the blood very quickly.

The girl waited quietly outside, knowing that there was someone there even before Bart had shouted out. She held on tightly to the strap on the small shoulder back she carried, smelling the faint smell of blood and starting to feel hungry.

Bart finished cleaning the table. he looked around. Where to put this towel... Bathroom. Bart wandered around, then found the bathroom. He hid the towel behind others, and then turned around. He took a peek into Shadow's room. Dominique was still sleeping. He closed the door, and headed for the entrance. He opened the door, looking at the blue-haired girl. Well, people dying their hair. I already got used to that with Shadow's purple hair.
"May I ask for the name?" Bart asked, scanning the female.

"Shiraku..." The girl said quietly, looking up at Bart. "I'm looking for Shadow." She added, looking at the ground again. The smell of blood was making her head spin. She was hungry. She was having problems adjusting to the recent vampirisation, and Vrael had other things to worry about at that point.

Aw, Christ! Wrong moment!
"Er..." Bart said, rolling his eyes, thinking, "Shadow's, uh, not here at the moment."
Bart tired preventing any situations where the girl would go into the house. he didn't really know this female, and Shiraku wasn't a name from France, that was for sure. But, if she knows Shadow, I don't have to worry, do I? I mean, blue hair. Same as Shadow, no? Well, kinda, but still.

Shiraku nodded slowly.
"When will she be back?" She asked.

"Er," Bart answered, looking down at the ground.
Okay, I hope I know how to lie like I did when I was younger. Please, God, just tell me that I do.
"She won't be here until, at least, tomorrow afternoon," he replied, looking at Shiraku in her eyes. Always look in the eyes, to show that you beleive what you say. Whatever that means. "I take that your of the family, no?" Bart asked.
