Coping. (Post Prophecy)

Shadow sighed, closing her violet eyes tiredly. She could still sense him, somewhere out there, and it worried the demoness greatly.

"We all need some rest," Dominique muttered to Shadow, "As shows us Bart... He's the one in almost full shape here, you're covered in stitches, and I wasn't ever very enduring..." She looked up at the demoness, her eyes glitning once more.

Shadow nodded, brushing a hand lightly over the stitches on her face, wanting to rip them out but knowing that she shouldn't.
"I won't be able to sleep for a while," She said quietly.

Dominique looked at the ground, and pulled one of her fringes up behind one ear. "You're worried about the Lord, if I am correct?" Dominique asked, looking up at the demoness, that always made her have a feeling of sorrow inside.

"I'm worried about several things, and he's only one of them," Shadow said quietly, leaning her forehead against the glass, her gem clinking against it again.

"Maybe you should talk about it," Dominique considered quietly, "About what you're worried of... But that's only something that I would suppose would be good... It depends on what you are worried about, and the people tat listen..." Dominique muttered quietly, her hair falling over her eyes again.

"the things I worry about are vast, and normally linked in bizarre ways," Shadow said slowly. "Normally, they're best left unsaid. Last time I explained to Bart, he worried..."

"Chain reaction," Dominique commented, a very slight smile creeping along her face, as she turned it to look outside, past the window. "I also worry of things, but I think you know one of the main things I worry about..." Dominique murmured.

"Yeah, I know, and I understand." Shadow murmured quietly, thinking of her clan.

Dominique stood silent, looking down at the boy with glistening eyes. Bart was snoring quietly, one hand laid out on the ground, another one half spread out on his right cheek. His left leg was outstretched, and his right leg was flexed. His chest lifted and lowered as he breathed calmly, being completely immune to his surroundings for once.

Shadow sighed again, her thoughts wandering of to distant times and places.

Dominique lifted her head, and walked over to the twins' room. She went out again with the sheets of the bed, and she laid the covers gently on the boy's body, as he breathed quietly. She stood up, and smiled at him gently.

Shadow gazed out of the window, her mind far away. Suddenly, she leapt back as a black form flashed past the glass, falling over the chair behind her. The demoness groaned, feeling that some of the stitches had been ripped out again as she stood up.

Dominique noticed Shadow's reaction, and looked at the woman, one eyebrow lifted in confusion. She tilted her head sideways, because it seemed that confusion looked better tilted, or at an angle.
"Is there something wrong?" Dominique asked, tiredly.

Shadow brushed herself off with a shaking hand.
"No, there's nothing wrong," She said firmly, not looking at the female Kraferr.

"I can sense that there's something you're hiding from me..." Dominique said, skeptically, looking at the demoness, slightly offended that Shadow didn't look at her, which made her sure that Shadow had something wrong.

Shadow looked up at Dominique with a mixture of shock, horror and pain written on her face.
"If I told you, you'd wish I hadn't." The demoness said cryptically.

"It's better to say than to keep, if I don't like it..." Dominique murmured to the demoness, crouching slightly to be at her height, "I mean, it can't be all that bad," Dominique continued, tilting her head ever so slightly, "Could it?"

"It could," Shadow murmured, looking down again. She picked herself off the ground, turning her back on the female Kraferr.
"I'm going to meditate." She said in a final tone of voice, and headed, limping, out of the room.

Dominique didn't like that Shadow didn't tell her something. She felt uncomfortable, uneasy. Especially that Shadow was frightened about it, and Dominique didn't like secrets. She looked around, glancing at the snoring Kraferr on the ground, smirking slightly. A sly smile appeared on her face.

Shadow closed the door into her room, locking it by magic. She took a deep breath, grabbing a jar of powder from a shelf and hurridly sprinkling some in a circle before then placing five candles around the circle. One at North, then South, then East, then West and the last one in front of her as she sat with her legs in the lotus position in the centre of the circle. She closed her eyes, exhaling, placing her hands with her palms down on her knees, and tried to clear her mind.

Dominique, seeing that Shadow had locked herself in, tilted her head slightly at the male kraferr. She looked at him with glittering eyes, the lights of the city faintly lighting her dark silhouette. She knelt down next to the sleeping boy. Bart had stopped snoring after that Shadow had locked herself into her room, and he was breathing quietly now. Dominique gazed a long time at the teenager, her head tilted.

Shadow murmured words under her breath, forming a demonic chant. Glittering magic from around the room seemed to form in a spot outside the circle, rising up into the form of a woman. Shadow opened her violet eyes, not stopping in her chanting. A spell she had only used once with disasterous consequences was actually working this time!
The magic turned into detail, the detail of a young looking woman with long black hair pulled into a loose plait. Her hooded white robes were immaculate, and her silvery blue eyes were wide and kind.
"Arella," Shadow breathed, "Mother..."

Dominique gazed at the boy's sleeping body for a long time. Bart shifted in his sleep, turning his head sideways, one arm bent downwards, the second bent upwards. His legs were also in a similar position, except that one was outstretched, and the other was bend downwards. The covers that Dominique had put on his body moved with him gently. Dominique closed her eyes, and leaned closer to Bart, giving him a kiss on the lips. He didn't notice, and kept his eyes closed. Dominique continued kissing Bart.

Shadow gazed at the black haired woman with confused eyes, but Arella gazed back at her with a loving gaze.
"My little Allyssianne, how you've changed..." She said. For the first time, Shadow didn't go mental when someone used her 'real' name.
"It was the prophecy," Shadow said quietly, "The reincarnation changed me." The demoness stood up, but didn't move outside of the circle. "I wish you were still with me..."
