Cackles Academy for Witches (Shadow and Natalie)

Shadow looked questioningly at Natalie, sensing her emotions.

"I dunno...I haven't been in a hospital ward...I just took the healer course for emergencies..." sighed NAtalie.

"Ah..." Shadow said, understanding. Sometimes, she really hated being an empath. "It's not that great actually, just a lot of moaning humans that keep complaining about you." Shadow still had resentement against her time in St Mungos.

"I heard about that..." said Natalie, "hense why I didn't go into healing..."

"Hmm..." Shadow said, watching a pen move back and forth as it wrote out the form, controled by magic.

Natalie sat down on one of the many beds.

"You ok?" Shadow asked again.

"Yes," said Natalie, smiling slightly.

Shadow put her head on one side questionningly, not convinced at all.

"I am..." said Natalie, "just...thrustrated."

"Care to elaborate?" Shadow asked.

"Um...well...for a start...Gary and I spit up..." sighed Natalie, "and from then...I just feel like...people hate me..."

"Ach, I'm sorry Nat..." Shadow said, walking over to sit next to her friend. "You should have said! You're one of my best friends, and I know for a fact that Onyx absolutely adores you."

Natalie smiled.

"She does...I never knew that..." she sniffed, smiling, "thanks Shadow.....it's the reason I came here...to get away from where I was..."

"You know, you can come and stay at my place anytime you want." Shadow said. "In fact, I think we'd all be delighted to have you. You'd just need to watch out for Archangel... that's one nasty prankster..."

"I know she is," Natalie grinned remembering the time with the pegisus...and the jumping...

"Hmm..." Shadow said, remembering that occasion.

"That girl Hannah was not nice...has she tried to hurt you since...or is it just Meran now?" Natalie asked.

"No, she got a first class ticket to the same pit my father is..." Shadow said.

"Good job too..." Natalie said, shivering slightly.

Shadow scowled.
"I never like doing that, but she tried my patience..."

"She tried to kill you..." Natalie pointed out.

"Yes, but taking lives is wrong." Shadow said.

"I know...that's why I've only ever tried to take one..." said Natalie, brow furrowing.

"Don't start, it haunts you for the rest of your life." Shadow muttered darkly.
