Cackles Academy for Witches (Shadow and Natalie)

Natalie smiled slightly.
"True love for my child?" she mouthed to Shadow, "Is that it? The deep magic?"

Shadow didn't seem to see Natalie, but Meran grew more and more furious.

Natalie looked at Meran.
"You got what's coming to you..." said Natalie.

Meran scowled.
"Then she will have to do!" He snarled, grabbing the demoness and vanishing.

Natalie screamed.
She looked around frantically.
She whipped out her wand, held it above her head.
"Incantartus Followus Transportus," she said, and with a pop, her and Tomorrow transported after them.

Meran and Shadow had travelled in time, and they were now in a time several thousand years away.

Meran threw Shadow down, and put a foot securly on her back to keep the girl down.

Natalie apparated after them.
The time barrier was hurting her ears...and Tomorrow was in hysterics.

Shadow was standing in the middle of a vast chamber, a small bowl at her feet. She was wearing a strange band of metal around her head, black metal.

Natalie landed on her feet, her crying baby in her arms.

"Oh my...Shadow..." whispered Natalie.

Shadow drew a dagger from her belt, and made a small cut on her wrist, allowing some of her blood to spill into the bowl.

"No..." Natalie whispered, "NO! NO! NO!"
Natalie ran to Shadow, and grabbed her wrist which was attached to the hand which held the knife.

Shadow hardly noticed Natalie, and Meran appeared, pulling Natalie away.

Natalie did not let go.

"NO! NO!" Natalie shouted like a child...attempting to throw Meran off.

Meran dragged Natalie away, to the edge of the room. Shadow stood up again and began to chant something.

Natalie wailed and kicked and screamed bloody murder, while Tomorrow wept in her arms.
NO!" Natalie yelled again, "PLEASE SHADOW! SNAP OUT OF IT! NO!"

Shadow didn't hear Natalie, and started to make a few hand gestures as her chanting moved on. Meran smirked.
"She can't hear you. She can only hear me and the one she's summoning."

Natalie levitated her child, put a protective barrier around her, and then walked up to Meran.
"I want you to know...what happens next...is completely of my own accord...no possessions or anything of that sort...ok," said Natalie.
The next thing that happened was so suddenly fast that it would have made the most brave man in the word jump.
She dove on Meran and put her hands to his throat.
"TELL HER TO STOP WHAT SHE'S DOING!" Natalie screamed.

Shadow stopped chanting, and her eyes turned red. She began to hover in the air, arms outstretched.


Meran had a moment of surprise, but seeing Shadow, he smirked.
"Too late now."

Natalie screamed loudly, and ran for Shadow.
"SHADOW!" she yelled, trying to pull Shadow to the ground.

Shadow remained in the air, and the ground around her cracked in a perfect circle. Meran grabbed Natalie again, dragging her away and tying her to a post.

Natalie held onto Tomorrow tightly.

Meran watched Shadow eagerly as a sheet of magic erupted from the crack in the ground, obscuring her from view.

Natalie got up again.
"This isn't going to happen...I'm not going to lose her...not on my watch..." she muttered, whipping out her wand.

Natalie walked up to Meran.
"Lacarnum Inflamary..." whispered Natalie, and his robe caught fire.

Meran leapt around, and quickly put out his robe, glaring at Natalie.
"There is nothing you can do now." He said, sneering. The wall of magic was still there.

"I can get you out of the way of a start..." said Natalie, pointing her wand at him, "This one's for Shadow...CRUCIO!"
