Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Shadow was grinding her teeth.
"I guess she just kept hiding that from you." Kia said with an evil smile.

Holly looked from one to the other.
"Uhm...." she said, unable to think of anything to say, "Who are you again?"

Shadow's hand flexed under her cloak as she watched Kia carefully. The other girl smirked.
"Didn't Shadow ever tell you she was once an assassin herself?"

Holly looked at Shadow.
"She....uh, no she didnt..."

She moved her gaze to the floor.

Shadow ground her teeth again.
"And now retired." Shadow pointed out, but Kia smirked.

Holly decided to let this part slip.
"What did you say your name was?" she asked the newbie sourly.

"Her name is Kia." Shadow hissed.

"Ew." Holly commented, winking her nose, "I had a rat named Kia once.....ironic innnit?"

"Probably not..." Shadow muttered. Kia scowled.

Holly glared at Kia.
"Can I ask why you're holding a knife to me?" she asked conversationally.

"Assassin traitors don't live, but we haven' t managed to lay a finger on her yet." Kia growled.

"Bit too skilled for you is she?" Holly asked, with the smallest hint of pride.

"No, she keeps disappearing when ever we get a decent trace on her."
"It's called dimension jumping Kia."

"So she's a bit too skilled then." Holly clarified, "I see..... And what is it you assassinators do then?"

What a question.

Shadow just gave Holly one of her looks where she thought it was obvious.
"Shadow, you are going to teleport us to the clan, and you can see what the clan Leader says about your behaviour." Kia said, smirking.

Holly thought fot a second, and the penny dropped.
"Now WHY would she do something like THAT?" Holly asked Kia, shaking her head.

"Code of honour for an assassin." Kia said.
"Not everyone's lives are dictated by those codes Kia. When will you ever grow UP?"
"Just teleport."


Shadow obeyed, but that's only because she knew what was going to happen if she didn't. They appeared outside a dark house in the middle of nowhere.

"Code of honour..." Holly sighed, and looked around.

Kia sheathed her blade and strode towards the house, Shadow following.

"Sheathed?" Holly asked, for what felt like the seveneteeth time today.
She sped up to stay in step with Shadow.

"Holly, you don't have to be here. You can go if you want." Shadow said to her friend.

"Like Im leaving." Holly said rolling her eyes, "You need me....kind of...."

Shadow, for once, shrugged. She was more worried about the assassins reactions when they saw her.

Holly looked around, a little nervously.
"Uh....anything else you have to tell me?" she asked Shadow.

"In what way?" Shadow asked.
