Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"No, Karthragan." Archangel said.

Again, it took a moment to register.
"Freak show you mean? Kar?" Holly asked, just to clarify.

Archangel nodded.

"Huh? What about him?" Holly asked, "I thought he was all ..... dead and stuff...?"

"Not dead. Mother just transported him to hell." Archangel said.

"Right....." Holly said slowly, "So he's still alive ...? And what's this about your mum and him? If you people didn't talk in riddles I'd understand .... "

"Mother inherited his title, it's all to do with some prophecy..." Archangel said, shrugging.

"Title of what?" Holly asked confusedly, "Tell me child! This is important!"

"You didn't know she was princess of darkness?" Archangel said.

"I probably did." Holly said, "But what's that gotta do with her disappearing like tha'?"

"Annoyed perhaps?" Archangel suggested.

"I see....." Holly said thoughtfully, "Well then to make her unannoyed we have to ... to think of a plan .... Okay, that IS that plan ... and so, we are done! YAY!"

"I don't see how she can put up with you." Archangel remarked.

"Thanks," Holly muttered without thinking, "No wait, HEY! We're 'besties' and being 'besties' we HAVE to put up with eachother ... it's never a walk in the park for me either just FYI."

"I know mother has the patience of a saint, but still..." Archangel muttered.

"I THOUGHT we were mates Arc," Holly said, hand on hip, "What a way to show it!"

"Did I ever say we were?" Archangel asked innocently.

"Are all Roth's like this?" Holly muttered under her breath, "Look, when your ma gets annoyed, where does she go? Cause you know what she's like and I need to find her."

"There are so many places she could go." Archangel said.

"Think like a Shadow..." Holly muttered, "Uhhm .... Astronomy Tower?"

"Maybe." Archangel said.

"Well let's try there anyway." Holly said, and made for the Astronomy Tower. She looked behind her at Archangel.
"Coming?"

Archangel followed Holly.

"I .... Hate ... everything about you ..." Holly sang, "Why .... do I ... love you? You ... hate everything about me .... Why ... do you .... love me?"
It was her 'song of the moment'.
"SHAAAAAAAAAD?" Holly yelled when they reached their destination.
