Cackles Academy for Witches (Shadow and Natalie)

Shadow woke up and got to her feet silently. Merlas looked at her, and then lay her head down again. Shadow silently slipped out of the dome, out into the forest.

Natalie continued to sleep.

Merlas kept an eye on Natalie.

Natalie suddenly woke up.
"Where's Shad?" she asked.

"Out walking." Merlas said simply.

"Ah...ok," sighed Natalie, lying back again.

Merlas' ear twitched slightly as there was a small explosion about 200 metres away from the dome.

"Ok...what was that?" Natalie asked.

Merlas tried to look like she didn't know, and failed miserably.

"Merlas...I know you know..." said Natalie.

Merlas sighed deeply.
"She's letting off steam."

"Oh...I see..." said Natalie, frowning.

Merlas dipped her head once.

Natalie nodded silently.

Shadow came back, looking very tired and dishivelled.

"Nice to see you again," said Natalie.

"Yeah." Shadow said tiredly, lying down again.

"What happened?" Natalie asked.

"I've got my father's magic now, in addition to my own. I need time to get used to it..." Shadow said quietly. "Which involves several power surges."

Natalie shuttered.
"Like you used to have while at Hogwarts?" Natalie asked.

Shadow nodded solomnly.
"Except worse."

"Ah...I see...how often?" Natalie asked.

"It's going to be at least once a dy until I can harness it." Shadow said.

"Erm...ok," said Natalie quickly, "so...what do you want to do?"

"Rest." Shadow said apologetically.
