Cackles Academy for Witches (Shadow and Natalie)

Natalie watched silently.

A brief expression of pain flashed across Shadow's face as she opened her eyes.

"Shadow? You ok?" Natalie asked.

"Urg." Shadow said, closing her eyes again against the light.

Natalie looked at Shadow.
"Are you hurt?" she asked quietly.

"Do you think that was a pony ride?" Shadow muttered sarcastically. "Of course it hurt."

"Sorry..." muttered Natalie, looking around, "and Kar is...?"

"Deepest darkest pit of hell." Shadow said.

"Back where he belongs again..." Natalie smiled.

"Yes." Shadow said quietly.

"Good stuff," said Natalie, smiling slightly.

Shadow smiled slightly back.

"What do you wanna do now?" Natalie asked Shadow.

"Does rest count?" Shadow asked.

"Yep..." said Natalie, "here?"

"Anywhere as long as its safe." Shadow said.

Natalie smiled, and apparated the whole group back to Cackles.

"Thanks Nat." Shadow said quietly.

"Don't worry about it...just get some rest..." said Natalie quietly.

Shadow nodded and curled up next to Merlas.

Natalie lay down on one of the beds, holding Tomorrow softly against her.
She fell fast asleep.

Merlas stayed awake, keeping an eye on things.

Natalie slept soundly, hugging close to her child.

Even Star slept, his ears flicking lazily.

Natalie rolled over, and yawned...still asleep.
