Cackles Academy for Witches (Shadow and Natalie)

"Mmm..." Natalie sighed, "can you...show me her now?"

Merlas shook her head.

Natalie sighed.
She began to pace.

"You do know she does this to protect everyone else?" Merlas said.

"I know...but by now she should know that she has friends who care," said Natalie, picking up her broom from a bed.

Merlas stood up quickly.
"That's why. You can't go there."

"Oh yes I can..." said Natalie, taking off, "Keep an eye on Tomorrow please..."

Merlas launched herself up into the air, hovering in front of Natalie.
"You can not. She told me to look after you, and I will. Give her more time to let any magical fallout settle and then we will go back for her."

Natalie sighed, and landed again.
"Fine..." she said, picking up Tomorrow from the crib she was lying in.

Merlas also landed and lay down again.

Natalie fed Tomorrow using a bottle (Began a vampire...human milk was well...not present) and then made kissy faces to make her laugh.

Merlas sighed and nibbled at one of the plants next to her nose.

"Not in a laughing mood...huh?" said Natalie softly, "nor am I..."
She just nursed her child gentally after that, mind elsewhere.

Star was sound asleep on one of the beds, and Merlas slowly allowed herself to fall asleep as well.

Natalie did not sleep.
Instead, she got upon her broom once and, Tomorrow safely in a sling around her neck.
She took off once again, flying in the direction she had gone in so many times today.

Merlas stirred slightly, but didn't wake up.

Natalie flew as fast as she could. It did not help that it was hard to see because of the sun, nor did it help that Tomorrow began to giggle loudly.

"Shhh...you'll wake horsey up," said Natalie quietly.

Merlas opened one lazy eye and looked around. Seeing that Natalie wasn't there, she scrambled to her hooves and took off after her.

Natalie began to fly fast.
"Come ON!" Natalie urged the broom, "please hurry up!"

Merlas tried to catch up with Natalie, but it was slow progress.

"FASTER!" screeched Tomorrow.
"Not...helping the situation..." said Natalie through gritted teeth.

Lerkas could see the temple in the distance and strained her wings to try to catch up, she was about twenty metres behind Natalie now.

Natalie flew faster, holding on tight.

Merlas was flying as fast as she could, her long mane and tail streaming out behind her as she strained to go even faster.

Natalie began to decend slowly.
"Sorry Merlas....!" she called back, "I cannot let Shadow die just for me."
