Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"What was that comment?" Shadow asked sharply.

"Nothing," Holly said bitterly.

Shadow stopped.
"Have you got something you want to tell me?" She asked threateningly.

Holly thought.
"No," she said simply, and continued to walk.

Shadow didn't follow, folding her arms and waiting.

Holly stopped but did not turn around.
"What...?" she asked in a different tone.

"I know there's something going on in your mind." Shadow said.

"Good to know you at least dont think there's just air in there....." Holly said softly, "It's nothing I ..... just all this ... people trying to kill us makes me wonder...."
She turned around, but still could not see Shadow.
"Sorry....." she said lamely.

Shadow sighed.
"I don't think that's the real reason Hol."

Holly blinked and tucked her hands in her pockets for warmth.
"So where would Bond be?" she asked, looking about.

Shadow remained silent, the sound of her foot tapping echoing in the silence.

"Arrogant demoness..." Holly said, somewhat admirably.

Shadow's lips curled into a slight snarl.

Holly stood still, looking into the fog in the approximate position of her friend.

"Don't EVER call me that." Shadow hissed before striding past Holly, the fog swallowing her once more.

Holly had stepped backwards as Shadow had passed, just in case she was going to punch her.
"Okay...." she said, "So where WOULD Bond be then .... ?"

"I have an idea." Shadow's distant voice said.

Holly hurried to catch up, and tripped over a second log.
"WHAT THE FUDGE IS WITH THESE LOGS?" she yelled angrilly clutching her shin.

"Because you're as blind as a human?" Shadow said dryly.

Holly raised an eyebrow.
"Maybe," she said standing again and following the sound of Shadow's irritated voice.

Shadow strode onwards to a rundown building.

Holly followed and stopped at the moment in which it came into view.
"Seems like the kinda place he would hang out..." she said reasonably.

Shadow walked up to the building and banged on the door.

"Like Im sure he's gonna march down in his Pyjamas and demand we get off his land," Holly said sarcastically.

Shadow threw a death glare at Holly before using her shoulder to ram into the door and broke it down.
