Bad things, good things, all depends on the point of view.

Ahrach first tensed, but then he relaxed into Raven's embrace, and closed his eyes, kissing back, enlacing his arms around her body, making sure not to touch the wounds in any way.

Raven wondered how on earth she managed to get into this situation, with someone who actually liked her, despite first impressions. She kissed him tenderly, ignoring the pain of her heart thudding.

- I got to go feat, see you tomorrow! -

--Kay, bye. I won't be there in the morning, I have to work. ;_; But I'll be there at 10:00.--

Ahrach kissed Raven back gently, scooting closer to her. His hair fell upon his forehead, the stiffness wearing off. He slowly rubbed Raven's back, making sure not to touch any wounds. From where he was, he could feel her heart thudding against her rib cage.

Raven gently broke away, looking up at Ahrach, smiling slightly. She closed her eyes, turning her head don and away slightly, trying to calm down her heartbeat.

Ahrach opened his eyes slowly, his eyes gleaming golden lights as he did so. He was breathing in heavily but slowly. He smiled back at Raven, closing his eyes. The feathers on his forearms started to slowly fall down calmly onto his arms again.

Raven reached out a hand and gently stroked the feathers on Ahrach's arms before entwining her fingers with his. She sighed silently before looking up into his eyes once more.

Ahrach looked back up at Raven in her violet eyes, sighing slowly, having shivered slightly at Raven's touch. He smiled, and closed his eyes, before laying a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Raven went slightly red again as the blood rushed to her cheeks to show her embarassement. She turned her head away slightly, trying to take a deep breath and return her face to its usual colour before gently planting a kiss on Ahrach's temple.

Ahrach smiled at Raven, closing his eyes. Small strands of hair fell down his forehead, but he didn't flick them off. He then opened his eyes, the golden pupils glistening in the faint shadows that scurried across the room. He looked up at Raven. He took a slow breath.
"I didn't really... Think this would happen, in all honesty." he said, still smiling at Raven.

Raven stood up suddenly, walking over to the window and putting one hand on the ledge to help her keep her balance. She closed her eyes, trying to throw off the dizzy feeling after getting up too fast.
"I never thought I'd fall in love, certainly not after Marcus," She murmured, looking out at the dark evening sky. Her grip on the ledge tightened as she glared down at her hand. The memory of being abandoned by the army was still painfully fresh in her mind. Her short violet hair fel over her face slightly as she bent her head.
"I'm a soldier, nothing more. I kill, and I don't feel any emotion. No love, no happiness, no regret." She said, more to herself than anything.

Ahrach gazed at Raven. He closed his eyes.
"Seems that there's a contradiction in there somewhere," Ahrach answered, lifting his head upwards slightly, the strips of hair falling down onto his cheeks. He then stood up, using his hands as a lever, and leaned on his back on the wall next to the window where Raven was standing. He flexed one leg, and pressed it against the wall.
"But," he continued, "As I said earlier, those things don't change my thoughts of you."

Raven didn't look up at Ahrach.
"You'd want to love someone that has taken the lives of countless people?"

"I've already quenched a few life flames," Ahrach muttered, "I still can stand more bloodshed."
He looked back up at Raven. "It doesn't matter to me. As long as you don't try to kill me, I'm okay." he answered, with a slight smile.
For some reason, I think she is going to kill me.

Raven determindly didn't look up at Ahrach.
"I just need time to think about it. I just lost what I thought to be my entire life..."

"I think I have understood that the army was the goal and fix of your life," Ahrach answered, "If you need time, I can give you that. I still got my whole life to live, anyways."
Ahrach pushed slightly on his hands, making him stand up straight. He walked to his scythe, caressing the blade.

"It wasn't just the 'goal and fix of my life'. My regiment was my family. We put our lives in the hands of our fighting partners. We fought back to back to protect them." Raven said, her grip on the ledge tightening. "We swore to defend each other, but at the word of Arias, they let me go..."

The sentence Ahrach heard made him slightly tighten his grip onto his blade. The idiots. Why leave someone like that? Plus, she was dying. They really have no heart, do they? How did Raven sympathize with them in the first place? Ahrach remembered the look Arias was giving to Val Keshra, as he beat Raven. She's probably interested in him joining their ranks. Puh.
It's only then that Ahrach noticed that his hand was bleeding. He had gripped on the wrong side of the blade. "Oops," he muttered to himself. "D*mn, this thing is sharp."

Raven looked up at the smell of blood and silently walked over to the shelves in the room, picking out antiseptic, needle, thread and a bandage.
"Come here so I can treat that." She said, her voice giving the suggestion the underlying tone of an order.

Ahrach didn't answer to what Raven just said, but slid his hand onto the scythe. He gripped onto the spike of the scythe, the blood trickling down it in small flows. He chipped off the spike, and reached in. He took out a small bottle. He dabbed his fingers in its liquid, then spread his watery fingers over the wounds. It stung a bit, so Ahrach had to force himself not to clench his hands into fists.

Raven sighed, puting away the materiels again. She sat on the bed, one hand straying to her wounds again, the pain and tiredness starting to take its toll on her.

Ahrach, after having rolled a tight band of cloth around his hand to prevent further infection, stood up and looked at Raven. He put his hands on his hips, having only slight pain as he put his wounded hand onto his hip. "Are you ok?" he asked, quietly.

- My brain's shut down... -

"Tired and sore," Raven replied with a small, wry half smile. "The battle took a lot out of me." She lay down, curled up slightly under the blankets.

"I see that," Ahrach answered, looking at his hand, which he dropped against his leg. He turned his head to Raven. "Getting rest is a good idea." Ahrach looked outside, through the window, then back at Raven. Then outside again, then back at Raven again. "Do you, uh, want me to leave? Y'know, because some people can't sleep well with others, sooo..."

"I don't mind," Raven murmured, half asleep already. Aches were starting to settle into all of her muscles as the effects of the battle really started to hit her. Her eyes drifted closed even though she tried to keep them open.

Ahrach looked at Raven as she closed her eyes slowly. He smiled, and tiptoed next to her. He grabbed his scythe again, taking a rigid cloth from under his shirt. He wiped his scythe with it, a very faint shinting sound emanating from it as he did so. He made the blade sharper at the end. He then turned his head upwards, and gazed at Raven, as his eyes glistened joyfully.
