Bad things, good things, all depends on the point of view.

Ahrach had a slight relief as he saw that Raven was conscious, but it only lasted a small time, as he saw Raven fall to one knee. He hastily scooted next to Raven. "Don't move," he said, as he gently pushed Raven to a laying-down position, on the floor. Ahrach then looked at her body. She had been injured severely on different limbs, and she was still able to stand up. Surprising.
Ahrach dabbed his fingers with the Kuijin medicine, and then smeared the liquid over the wounds that were visible on Raven's body. Once he had finished that task, he then asked, "What happened?"

Raven snarled in pain as she touched her broken arm, trying to formulate the words in her head. She mentally shook off the blurred feeling in her head, looking up at Ahrach
"Karthragan came back," She said after a few moment's thought. "He was looking for Shadow. I think he killed her..."

"I don't think so," Ahrach replied, "At the first look, I admit, the wounds I saw were severe, but I think that Shadow is strong, and won't give up yet. Especially since she has the prophecy soon. If I remember correctly, Vrael's a medic. He's going to heal Shadow. I'm going to try and help you here."
As he spoke, sweat drops formed on his forehead. He tried brushing them off, but they reappeared as quickly as he took them off. He then put his face in his hands. "I'm so sorry. I-I didn't think this would happen. It's my fault for not being at the entrance when he came. I'm so sorry, Raven."

"It wasn't your fault," Raven said firmly, sitting up, her other keeping her broken arm close to her body. She then pushed some blood-matted hair off her face, grimacing slightly.
"He came so suddenly, while everyone was sleeping..."

Ahrach remained silent, but then took his face out of his hands. he then pushed Raven gently onto the ground again. "Don't move,' he repeated. He inspected why Raven was keeping her arm against her body. "Okay, Raven, if this hurts, tell me immediately. I'm checking the seriosuness of the broken bone, if there is one,"
Ahrach began pressing his thumb with varied degrees of pressure on different parts of the arm.

Raven flinched violently as Ahrach pressed on a point midway down her upper arm where it looked like she had gained an unnatural joint. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block out the pain.

Ahrach frowned, noting Raven's reflex. He then tried to feel the surface of the broken bone, hoping that the bone didn't break into tiny pieces on the inside of the arm. If that was the case, the regeneration would be near eternal. Well, for a human, perhaps, but for demons, he may be wrong. "We'll need to immbolize this," he said, finally.

Raven nodded slowly.
"I can tell you that it's also broken at the elbow and the radius." She murmured, her eye twitching slightly as she gingerly touched the placed to point them out to Ahrach.

"All right," Ahrach answered. Let's see now... Ahrach looked into his scythe, and pulled out a long strip of cloth. He then looked at Raven's arm, and he gently picked it up, knowing that pain would afflict the whole of her upper body as he did o, but it would be for the good sake. He started rolling the cloth around the whole of her arm, keeping a 90° angle between the postarm and forearm. He then tightened the cloth, and then wrapped around a second layer.

Raven gritted her teeth, eyes squeezed shut, head turned away from what Ahrach was doing. She knew that it was a childish reaction, but she was trying not to give in to the pain. She had never broken a bone and had to get a bandage put on it, as the medics back in Synairn were well trained in healing broken bones.

Ahrach tightened the bandage, and made sure that it was stable enough. "Okay, this should fit for now, Raven," Ahrach said, to Raven. But I'm still really sorry. I should've been there. Ahrach gulped, and he stood up. He then flattened out one hand on Raven's forehead. "Don't move," he said, sternly, "I'll get Vrael."
Ahrach turned, and then headed quickly for Vrael.

Raven winced at the tightening of the bandage, and wished that Ahrach would stay with her, but she obeyed his order, laying her head back and closing her eyes. Vrael was crouched next to Shadow, murmuring to the half conscious demon quietly as he tended to a deep gash on her stomach.

Ahrach crouched aside of Vrael. "She'll live," Ahrach said, slightly worried, "Right?" Ahrach inspected Shadow's wounds, which were getting treated by Vrael. He looked at Vrael, trying to memorize what he did. His golden eyes flickered, waiting for an answer.

Vrael snapped the thread that he had been using to sew up the wound after finishing it. He looked at Ahrach.
"This was the most obviously mortal wound, and I do not suspect that there are any more. How fares Raven?" He said, his silver eyes gleaming slightly with worry.

"Multiple breaks at the arm. Minor injuries on the thorax, and few minor injuries on the legs. Nothing I can't take care of. But I'm still worried about the arm. If it doesn't get healed rapidly, the damage may suffer more, thus being permanent. At least, those are human and kuijin properties of the body I'm basing myself on. I don't know for demons, though," Ahrach answered, remembering his intense lessons with his sister. "You'll probably need to see her. I don't know what else I can do for her at the moment. I told her to not move, and to keep down."

Vrael looked at Ahrach with a vaguely surprised expression.
"You gave Raven an order... and she is obeying it? I would not be urprised if Hell itself had just frozen over..." He got to his feet, picking up Shadow and walking into the medical room. Raven was lying exactly where Ahrach had told her to stay, looking up at the ceiling. Vrael placed Shadow on one bed before crouching next to Raven, taking a look at her arm.

Ahrach lifted his eyebrows at Vrael's remark. "It's not like she can do anything else. Normally, she would be too wounded to sit up, but I've recently noticed that she could. But it's like, almost impossible for Raven to be able to stand up."
Ahrach followed Vrael, and crouched next to him. "I've got some experience in immobilizing certain limbs, such as legs and arms. Here, I don't have my full equipment, so I could only do with what I had in my scythe at the time. A simple silk-like cloth, wrapped around the arm, immobilizing it at 90° degrees."

Vrael nodded once before looking around the medical room, selecting certain items. He frowned slightly, thinking before shaking his head at himself.
"The bone has been broken for too long a period of time to be eligible for healing by magic, and therefore we must do something slightly more permanent."

"There's no more or less permanent," Ahrach corrected, "If it's permanent, it'll be permanent. Unless you intently did an oxymoron." Ahrach didn't really know what to talk about. It wasn't the time to talk about things like this, he thought. But he was panicking. You couldn't control yourself when you were this worried. Ahrach breathed slowly, trying to calm himself down. Karthragan.

Vrael carefully unwrapped the bandage, his slender fingers running lightly over the breaks. Raven winced slightly every time he touched a sensitive spot, but tried to stay still. Vrael nodded his head knowingly, turning to the various pieced of equipement he had, pucking out a few splints and bandages.

Ahrach looked out the small glimpse of window he could catch from his current position. The moon was high up, shining even inside the house. If he and Vrael hadn't gone hunting back then, then this wouldn't of happened. He could've been able to do something against Karthragan. At least, he could've tried protecting Raven and Shadow.

Vrael decided against giving Raven an anasthetic, knowing that it would cause more damage than good. He reassured her quietly, her hands on the break on her upper arm. Taking a deep breath, the vapire snapped the bones back into alignement. Raven cried out, but didn't move apart from her talon like nails scratching the floor. Her bowed her head taking a couple of deep breaths as Vrael tied the splints around that section of her arm.

Ahrach shivered slightly as he heard the sinister crack. He looked down, and then looked back at Raven. He was breathing slowly, but drops of sweat appeared on his forehead. He wiped them off with one elegant sweep of his black clothing onto his forehead. He sighed a bit, and his golden eyes glistened. He didn't know what to do. A medic, not able to heal. Heh, oxymoron. I'm really worthless.

Vrael looked up at Ahrach, noticing his reactions.
"Worry not, I have been a medic for these past six hundred and thirty eight moons. You are still young, and have plenty to learn."

Vrael's words didn't really comfort Ahrach's emotions. He stood silent, and closed his eyes, breathing in deeply, his feathers on his forearms fluttering gently. His clawed feet scratched gently at the ground.
