Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"But he could ask Meran." Holly said gesturing to Riley, "You're obviously good friends!"
"I only met him twice!" Riley said, "And you're hurting me Holly!"
"Thats the goal." Holly muttered.

"True." Shadow said. She flexed her wings pointedly.

"I cant believe I thought of that....." Holly thought.
"Ow!" Riley muttered.
"Shut up," Holly advised, "Now .... You're gonna go find Meran, and gently slip into the conversation about the wings. Mention that we're having trouble, and then ask him how to get rid of them. Okay? When do you see him next?"
"Uh.....we said we'd all meet tonight in the forest...." Riley said worriedly, "But I cant do that!"
"Sure?" Holly said, taking out her wand and raising her eyebrow.

"No, he'll just sneak me in." Shadow said smugly. "I can cast enough illusion spells to make myself unrecognisable."

"I see...." Holly said, "That makes so much more sense....."
Riley choked slightly.
"I-Im gonna do what?!?"

"You are going to sneak me in." Shadow said slowly and clearly.

"Wh.....how?" Riley asked.
"STOP TALKING!" Holly yelled.

Shadow raised an eyebrow.
"You are going to introduce me as Hannah, another person who hated Shadow."

"That ahem...." Holly commented, shaking her head, "So, Riley, you're doing that okay?"
"You'll kill me if I dont, right?" Riley said sadly.
"I dont kill people." Holly said, "But Id make you infertile."

"Or I'll send you to another dimension." Shadow threatened.

"My idea's better." Holly said, "But anyway, you are gonna do that Ri, okay? Go find Meran now and tell him ..... tell him you have a new recrruit!"

Shadow nodded and closed her eyes to concentrate, her lips mouthing silent spells until her wings were hidden, her hair and eyes were brown, her skin a more normal colour and she was wearing a hogwarts uniform.

"WHY COULDNT WE JUST DO THAT?!" Holly asked, "WHY COULDNT YOU JUST MAKE THE WINGS GO AWAY WOMAN!?"
"Wondering that myself," Riley said, attempting to stand up, "Hey ... she's hot now...."

"Because this form of disguise is incredibly energy taxing." Shadow explained. "It's only temporary, an illusion."

"Oh," Holly said, "That makes sense."
Riley noticed his mouth was open and closed it.
"All Hannah's are hot." Holly explained seriously.

"No they're not. And keep your eyes to yourself Riley, I'm engaged." Shadow snapped.

"Yes they are!" Holly argued, but shut up and slapped Riley.
"WHAT - WHAT - WHAT WAS THAT FOR?"
"We never officially broke up, and yet here you stand drooling over my best friend!"
"I WAS NOT DROOLING!" Riley said wiping his mouth.

"ANYWAY." Shadow barked.

"Yes, moving on," Holly said, scowling, "Before any more of Riley's bodily fluids are spilt...."

Shadow nodded pointedly.
"Now, the rendez-vous."

Holly and Riley looked at each other, almost like old times, and then Holly coughed.
"What....whats that mean?" she asked, hating that she always had to be the one to ask.

"We to go the meeting!" Shadow snapped.

"RIGHT!" Holly said, standing up straighter, "So .... lead the way Farthing...."
She prodded him in the back with her wand.
" 'Atches...." Riley muttered, but obediently led the way.

"Holly..." Shadow said, turning round. She teleported her up to her dorm, and locked the door magically so that she couldn't follow and get into danger.

Holly blinked several times.
"Uh....Shad....."
She looked around.
"Riley? ....."
