Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"HUH?" Holly demanded, and pulled away, "You did WHAT now?"
She looked at Shadow and her eyes widened.
"W- Wha- You've ... You've purple eyes!"
Somehow, this rang a bell.

Shadow cursed under her breath and strode away.

"Did you - DID YOU-?"
Holly looked from the Professor to Shadow and back again.
"HER EYES ARE PURPLE!" she exclaimed.
"Yeeees..." McGonagal said, "Purple. Her eyes. Now WHAT did you do to deserve having your memory wiped? WHY am I asking you? You don't remember!"
"I do!" Holly lied, "Well I sort of do ... like ...I recognise her! I really do!"
"Yes. Okay." McGonagal said rolling her eyes.

Shadow heard this and walked back, Raven at her side.
"Professor, it's complicated."

"I grasp things quickly enough thank you," the Professor said stiffly.
Holly couldn't stop staring at Shadow.
"I've seen her before!" her brain yelled at her.

"Holly, stop staring." Shadow said without looking round.

"She knows my name!" Holly whispered out loud, "Wh- What were you sayin' about my memory?"
She looked up expectantly.

"I wiped it." Shadow said emotionlessly.

"Wiped it ..... right .... " Holly said calmly, "Uhm ..... WHY THE HELL?!!??!?!!"

"Because it was dangerous." Shadow said simply.

"Riiiiiight...." Holly said trying to digest this, "And I assume I know you then...?"

"Yes, you do." Shadow said, sighing slightly.

Holly cocked her head to the side.
"Huh." was all she commented, "I believe you."

With that, Shadow and Raven walked off again, heading for the forest.

"What did I do?" Holly called after her, "Or ... what did someone do to me?"
She turned to the Professor.
"What the HELL is going on?" she demanded.
"Watch your tongue child."
"Almost impossible."

Shadow hit out at a tree.
"I can't wipe her mind AGAIN." She said to Raven, who leaned against another tree and shruggeD.

"Would you tell me what's going on?!" Holly begged the Professor.
"I'm not entirely sure...." Professor McGonagall said frowning, "All I know is up until today I thought you two were best friends. 'Inseperable' as they called you.... For about five years."
"But I don't remember...." Holly said softly.

"Shae, you should give her her memory back." Raven said.
"Shut it Rae."
"Just trying to help."

"BEST friends?" Holly repeated, looking in the direction Shadow had disappeared, "With that purple-haired girl....?"
Professor McGonagal nodded.
"And I must say .... memory charms are against school rules...."

Raven kept on at Shadow until she gave in and strode back to Holly.

"That's her!" Holly said unnecessarily, "Hallo again..."
Professor McGonagal looked from one to the other, shrugged, and strode off.

"Raven told me to give you your memory back." SHadow said.

"Raven...?" Holly asked cluelessly, "Oh... that one that looks like you? She's smart. Yes, do!"

Shadow chuckled quietly.
"You hated Raven."

"Did I?" Holly asked surprised, "Takes a lot for me to hate someone ..."
She smiled slightly.
"So ... you gonner gimme my memory back?"
