Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"She's preggers," Holly commented, looking confused, "How can flies.....?"
"Hmph! How rude! That's the last time I confide in YOU!"
And Arnold stormed off.
"Well that may have been the strangest thing that's ever happened....." Holly said thoughtfully, and turned to Shadow, "Hi, you waited with me, that was nice!"

Shadow fell asleep again.

"Your preggers too aren't you!?" Holly asked, in a frantic whisper, "That's why you're so tired innit? I KNEW IT!"

"Next time you teleport through dimensions, time and space, let me know." Shadow muttered, opening one eye. "You wouldn't believe the concentration it takes."

"But .... I don't do that often...." Holly said, but then she understood, "Oh right ... and I wasn't trying to tell you you look sickly ... or pale ... or anything ... seriously .... I wasn't ..."

Shadow sighed, and closed ehr eyes again.

Holly resisted the urge to draw on Shadow's face.
"Sweet dreams," she muttered grinning, and amused herself by counting ceiling tiles.
"Why is she staring at us?" one tile whispered to the other.

Shadow slept quietly.

Holly made her way towards the hospital window, and looked out for a while, mind elsewhere. She was silent, for once.
UNTIL -

Archangel teleported behind Holly and yelled,
"BOO!"

Holly screamed and fell over backwards, so that she was looking up at Archangel.
"WHY WHY WHY?!" she yelled, "WHAT DID I DO TO YOU THAT MADE YOU HATE ME!?"

"It was just a prank." Archangel said, offended.

"THAT'S NOT A REASON!" Holly said, but then she calmed down enough to shrug.
"Hi ... where's your sister?" she asked.

"Reading the Russian dictionary." Archangel said.

"Right." Holly said, "I had to ask ...."
She looked around at Shadow.
"I wouldn't wake her if I was you ... Arnold did that earlier ... she hasn't been quite the same since .... "

Archangel shrugged.
"She's been a bit strange. Rae visited yesterday..."

Holly narrowed her eyes.
"Strange...? Whaddya mean strange?"

"Moody." Archangel said.

"Moody?" Holly repeated, and glanced over at the sleeping Shadow, "I would guess time of hte month but she told me demons don't get that ... actually I think she told me about twenty million times, but would you worry? No you wouldn't...."
She was more or less mumbling to herself now.

Archangel rolled her eyes. Holly was useless most of the time in her opinion.

Holly looked back at Archangel.
"What is she sick?" she asked, brow furrowed, "Should we wake her up?"

"I don't know." Archangel said. "She's just being strange."

"Strange is strange." Holly remarked, "Let's wake her up,"
She made her way to where Shadow was sleeping and hesitated.
"Last time I woke her up she nearly killed me ..." she said remembering. She shrugged and blew lightly in Shadow's face and then ducked sharply, just in case.

Shadow opened her eyes slightly.

Holly stood again.
"Arc says you're strange." she said, not meaning it to come out this way.
