'This is not a Good thing' (Holly and Shadow...only...)

Shadow looked down and nodded.

"Hey...." Holly said smiling, "That looks like my guitar pick I was holding when it happened....I'll definately take that with me-"
She stopped abruptly. The room was changing! The second she had set her hand on it, the kitchen had been reformed. There was a little her, sitting at the kitchen table, playing air guitar.
"Shadow?" the real Holly asked nervously.

"It's nothing to be afraid of Holly." Shadow said. "There are memories lingering here, that's all."

"But you're still there?" Holly called, not wanting to tear her eyes off the scene, but knowing she had to look away.

Shadow shrugged.
"I dunno why. Human memories confuse me."

"I dont need to know why," Holly said, "I just needed to make sure you didnt leave me..."
She threw a quick smile in her direction.

The young looking man in the room turned his head away from the newspaper he was reading and grinned at young Holly.
"Is that, Numb?"
"Aye," Young Holly said grinning, "You can tell can you?"
"Certainly," her father replied.
A woman, who looked a little older, walked inside, carrying a stack of envelopes.
"Hol you have one here," she said absently tossing it to her.
Holly caught it.

Shadow watched, and shook her head with a smile.
"'Numb'?"

"It actually was..." Holly said grinning, "But without the guitar...."

Young Holly opened her letter with shaking fingers. No one ever wrote to her.
There was a moment in which Young Holly froze, and then she screamed.
Her mother dropped the frying pan she was holding and her father stood up, wand outstretched.
"WHAT? WHAT IS IT?" he yelled.
"I GOT ME HOGWARTS LETTER!" Holly yelled standing up and throwing it about excitedly.

Shadow smiled at her friend.
"Man, you were excited..."

"I didnt think I was a witch until that moment," Holly admitted, "I had never shown any magic..."

Young Holly was now dancing about the place whilst her mother sighed and muttered something about 'no need' and her father clapped.

Shadow smiled at her friend.
"Well, at least you got your letter the conventional way."

Holly grinned, but didnt ask for any more information. She had a feeling she would find out someday.

They were back in the blackened kitchen.
"Huh..." Holly said grinning, "It must be random objects that take us to palces in my memory...weird..."

Shadow nodded.
"Sometimes it can happen."

"Well IVE never heard of it," Holly said, as if this resolved the matter. She picked up a shoe. "Aw... that didnt do anything."
She touched the tap by the sink - and the scene changed.

Shadow sighed at her friend, but understood her notions. She looked around.
"Ok, where are we?"

"Im thinkin in the past," Holly explained, then grinned, looking around.
"Ummm i think we're....oh no way...."
Her face became pale.
"Huh...this is my old school actually...."

Young Holly, pale and quite the same really, exited the old stone building, schoolbag on back, headphones in ears, in her own little world.
Children exited the building similarly, running, jostling about.
"OI! BRISTOL?"
Holly stopped moving instantly. This was not the type of place you ignored large bullies.

Shadow watched, one eyebrow raised.
"Another one to add to the hitlist..."

Holly smiled weakly, but she was full of unease as she watched the rest of the scene.

"What?" Young Holly mumbled to the boy who had called, and who was now towering above her.
"Its not 'what' its 'pardon'," the pompous boy said grinning, "And I wanted to ask ... or to tell you that that's mine."
"Pardon is?"
"What?"
"Dont say 'what' say 'pardon'" Holly muttered under her breath.
"Look just give me the damn book Bristol,"
The pompous boy's gang laughed as he pulled it from Holly's reach.
"Give that back!" Holly yelled, making a grab at it.
"Why is it about fairies?" the boy asked gleefully, "You and your witchcraft and your fairies, jezuz what are ya eight?"
Holly opened her mouth and closed it again, reaching for the book on the tips of her toes.
"Please!" Holly said through gritted teeth. That was the devil word to her, "It's.... it was my dad's..."
"OH!" the boy said, practically wetting himself with happiness, "Your DAD's was it? Well then you wouldnt mind if I just trashed it would you-"
"Dont," Holly said helplessly.
"But he's dead Bristol....long gone and dead....."
"Shut up," Holly said, fists clenching.
"Oooh....I touched a nerve....better run boys, she might set her fairies on us...."

Older Holly hated seeing her younger self so helpless.
"I hate that boy," she muttered, "But hes a brilliant kisser..."

Shadow rolled her eyes.
"Seriously Holly."

"IM the one being serious," she muttered, "But of course that didnt happen for a looong time after this incident....this was just after I got my Hogwarts letter. Last day of school I think....first sign of magic...."

The boy glanced at the title of the book and ripped out a page.
Holly froze. Some of the boys possy looked a little alarmed at this, but the boy continued to rip out pages until the book for only a few chapters long. Then he tossed it back to Holly, winked at her, and left.
"You will really regret that," Holly muttered, staring at the back of his head.
"What?" he asked, mounting his bike, ready to leave.
"I said you will really regret this."
Holly MEANT to kick the fellow in the place, what actually happened was she produced magic without even knowing it, and she wouldnt find out, for approximately three more seconds.
The boy hesitated and looked down.
"Hold on...." he said, and thne started to scream.
Little Holly laughed along with everyone else.

"I cant tell you exactly what happened there," Older Holly said shaking her head, "I would be setting a terrible example. But lets just say its PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for him to have any enjoyment in later life, and its also impossible for him to have kids. But he would make an awful dad anyway..."

Holly then began to sing "Where is Your Boy" by Fall Out Boy, because she COULDNT GET IT OUT OF HER HEAD AND THAT FACT WAS ANNOYING HER!

Shadow would have burst out laughing had it not been for her little problem with emotions, but she smiled at Holly.
"Pure evil dude!"

"Thank you!" Holly said, this being the nicest compliment she had ever recieved.
The room changed.
"Good times," she muttered with bravado.
"Lets see some more yeah?"

Shadow nodded.
"Unless you don't want me to see it of course."

Holly raised her eyebrows and picked up a spoon.
"Now THAT, is a Holly thing to say," she said wisely, as the world changed around them again.

They were in Hogwart's library.
"This doesnt go in order," Older Holly said, "The memories...they're all jumbled up.... hey! Maybe its like my head!"
She grinned appreciatively.

Shadow smiled.
"You've seen that mine is rather well organised... most of the time."
