'This is not a Good thing' (Holly and Shadow...only...)

Shadow discretely roled her eyes.

"What's it like in the Slytherin common room? Is everything green? Does it feel like you have green cellophane over your eyes? Does it? Does it have emerald chairs? Are they velvet or leather? Is it like home? What are the people like? Nice? Evil? Loud? Quiet? Do you have many friends? Would I like them? Can you introduce me? Please? Oh can we go now?"

Shadow put her book down and put her hands over her ears.

Holly looked scared.
"What? Are your ears coming off? GROSS! Shall I get Madam Pomfrey? Shall I get Dumbledore? The Minister of Magic!?! Is there blood? Can I see? No, I dont want to see I hate blood. Only my own though. Are you alright? You're awful pale. Sit down. No you're already sitting down. Never mind. What's wrong?"

"Can you stop it with the 300 question at once thing?!" Shadow hissed.

"Why?" Holly asked then corrected herself, "I mean yes. Sorry. Let's stop. Stopped."
She zipped her lips.

"Thank you." Shadow said, removing her hands from her ears.

Holly nodded. The desire to continue talking was almost over powering, but she shut up and waited for Shadow to speak.

Shadow put her book back on the shelf and turned to Holly.
"If you want to talk, the library is perhaps not the best plance."

"Probably not," Holly agreed happily, "Where shall we go? Im up for anything!"

"The lake?" Shadow said.

"The lake sounds perfect," Holly said, already skipping off.

Shadow followed, striding alongside her friend.

"You take big steps," Holly noted, hurrying a little more.

"I am taller than you." Shadow said.

"Perhaps," Holly quoted grinning.

Shadow rolled her eyes again.

Holly grinned again at this reaction.
They had reached the entrance hall.
"After you," Holly said holding the oak front doors open.

Shadow bowed in thanks and strode outside.

Holly stared after her for a moment. She had ... bowed? Holly practised a bow herself, and then shrugged before following her into the grounds.

Shadow sighed, walking down to the lake.

All the way down to the lake Holly yabbered on endlessly. Her silence in the library had caused her to talk double time, double the speed.

Shadow just let Holly yap, not really listening to her.

".....and then my da' goes, "But Holly, thats the cat!" "
Holly started laughing and didnt stop until they reached the Willow tree she liked to crash her broom into.
"Hey, we met here Shadow remember?"

Shadow nodded, glad that Holly had finally stopped yapping.
