Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"I guess we should do it now then..." Holly said, "He's uhh ... waking up."
She glanced at Shadow, and bowed her out of the door before her.

Shadow sighed again and stood up, sweeping out of the door.

Cursing herself, Holly followed.

Shadow looked around warily, silently stepping through the corridors.

"So there's like ... fire and stuff in through- wow,"
Holly stepped backwards just in time, for indeed, there was a small hole in the wall, out of which random fire spurted every few seconds.
"House of fun," Holly commented.

Shadow front flipped out of the way of the fire, which now separated Holly and Shadow.

"You always have to do that?" Holly asked, "Some cool demonic move type thing, leaving me feeling stupid at the other side of a roaring fire?"

"It's just gymnastics." Shadow said. "You could do it."

Holly stared.
"Can you imagine me doing that?" she asked incredulously, "I have enough problems standing on my own two feet thank you!"

Shadow grinned, but then her face grew serious.
"Do you think they've realised we've escaped?"

"I dunno," Holly said, glancing back the way that had come, "They might have like ... trackers on us or something."
She shivered and took a deep breath before jumping across to Shadow, not even getting singed. Hard.Core.My.Man.

Shadow raised an eyebrow and started to stride off.

Pleased with herself, Holly grinned back at the fire and stuck two fingers up at it. Of course, the minute she turned to follow her friend, she tripped.

Looking back, Shadow shook her head.
"Come on, stopp fooling around. We have to get out of here before they realise."

"Kay," Holly said miserably, "There's some kinda wolf or somethin' up here."

"What?" Shadow asked, confused.

"Up here," Holly said slowly, pointing somewhere ahead, "Theres like ... dogs. Or wolves. Or something. They look pretty mean."

Shadow looked up, and morphed into a wolf, barking something at them.

The wolves seemed thoroughly surprised by this, and barked a short, sharp reply.
"Bet they all fancy you're ears off," Holly muttered to Shadow.

Shadow raised an eyebrow before barking back furiously.

Holly thought it was amazing that wolves could raise an eyebrow, and made a mental note to do some wolf research in the near future.

The wolves looked at eachother, and then parted slightly, leaving a gap for Holly and Shadow to pass through.

Shadow barked something quietly and trotted through the gap.

The wolves stared after Shadow as Holly followed her.
"Toldya, they are totally checking you out," Holly said wisely.

Shadow morphed back.
"Sometimes, it's good. You can use that to your advantage. Now, we have to get out of her quickly. THere is no way they can ignore this."

"Kay," Holly said and grudgingly followed.
