Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

SHadow smiled slightly.
"Welcome."

"I cant believe he bought that," Holly said, grinning for what felt like the first time ever, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Hol." Shadow said, her voice slightly irritated. She hated that question.

"Y'dont seem okay."
This was a statement. But then why would anyone be okay in their predicament.

"I. Am. Fine." Shadow said through gritted teeth.

"Mm." Holly said sceptically, "Fine. Right."
She looked around yawning. "Where does he expect us to sleep ..... better question - when are we getting outta here?"

"I'll work on it." Shadow said, but sleep overpowered her tired mind and she curled up in her corner, dozing off.

Holly smiled ever so slightly.
"Ill work on it." she said, and sat staring at the ceiling, racking her teensy brain.

Shadow slipped into a deep sleep, and her only movement was the occasional wolfish twitch of an ear.

Holly watched her friend for a moment, amused, and then returned to the dilemma.

Shadow slept on peacefully, a frown sometimes crossing her face as she 'dreamt'.

"I hate boys...." Holly muttered.
Yes, her train of thought had taken a major left turn somewhere back there.

Shadow woke up again, morphed into a wolf and stretched.

"That was random," Holly commented, "I have a slight plan!"

The wolf looked at Holly, ears pricked.

"Okay, so when I went out there, there's a door just up a corridor, and it LOOKS like it leads to Hogwarts grounds. Only problem is, theres like ... obstacles in the way. Magic stuff. Only reason I got past was cause that fella had them all blocked....so I was thinkin' next time he comes to fetch us, I kick him where I kick guys, you punch him, and we make a run for it?"

The wolf's ears drooped again.

"Suckish plan?" Holly asked, "Sorry....if we had someone smart with us then ..."
She trailed off.

Shadow morphed back and wondered if they were going to send her on a mission.

"Thats the plan then?!" Holly said, almost proud of herself.

Shadow groaned quietly.
"We need more information on our situation before we do anything."

"But still," Holly said, "Thats not THAT bad ...."
She grinned hopefully.

Shadow decided to humour her friend and stayed silent.

Holly's smile turned to a grimace, as the door opened.
"Morning!" the man said, "I thought-"
Holly kicked the man and hit him on the head with her shoe.
"I DUNNO WHY I DID THAT!" she said, panicking.

Shadow sighed and pulled the hood on her cloak over her head.
