Cackles Academy for Witches (Shadow and Natalie)

The school soon came into sight, and Shadow walked through the shimmering black dome to put Natalie on one of the beds.

"By...the....way....Onyx....ran...away...and Archangel...is...here....but Onyx....probably...hates me....now," said Natalie, closing her eyes as the pain started to subside slightly more.

"She'll find her way back." Shadow said.

Natalie coughed several times harshly.
"You sure?" she asked horsely.

Shadow nodded silently and started to look through her potions stock.

Natalie sighed, and winced in pain as it caught in her throat.
"You realise I threatened her...but I may know...but she doesn't...that it was all false...I would never wish to harm any of your children or family Shadow...NEVER!" Natalie clutched her throat. She was angry with herself, "It's my fault if she's not ok...but she will be...oh lord...she has to be..."

"She will be, don't worry." Shadow assured her friend.

Natalie lay down flat on the bed, and winced.
"Can you um...do something about my leg?" Natalie asked.

"I'm going to have to give you a healing potion." Shadow said, rooting through her stocks. "As you can see, I don't know what's happened to my magic."

"Yes...it is quite mysterious..." sighed Natalie, "we'll find it...get it back..."

"I know what happened. He took it when he came through." Shadow said simply.

"Ah...I see..." said Natalie, "then we'll get it easier now we know where it is..."

"Yeah, you try killing him. Took me a year last time with Violet and Jamie's help." Shadow said.

"I don't like Violet..." said Natalie conversationally.

"Yeah, she got very annoying after a few weeks." Shadow agreed.

Natalie grinned slightly, though she was in pain.

Shadow smiled tiredly back, handing Natalie a potion.

Natalie drank it, and winced slightly as she felt a burning sensation in her leg.
"It's working...I feel it..." Natalie muttered.

"Good." Shadow said, sitting on the bed next to Natalie's.

Natalie smiled at Shadow.
"You are amazing..." she said.

Shadow shook her head.
"No... I'm not..." She said softly.

Onyx landed on the forest floor, and realised that she had no way to get down from the two metre tall battle mare. She could see the dome in the distance, and walked Merlas through the magic. Onyx smiled as she dismounted, even at Natalie.

That's when Merlas snorted softly, then with more urgency as she began to paw the ground, turning around in circles desperately.

"You are..." said Natalie, and then turned to Onyx and Merlas.
"What's up with Merlas?" Natalie asked.

"Oh *insert beep here*." Shadow said. "Onyx, I need a blanket and warm water, Merlas' painkillers and a towel." Merlas knelt down, and then onto her side. "Nat, can you stay by her head please and try to keep her calm? We have a foal on the way."

"Oh...well...that's new..." said Natalie, going to the horses head and trying to comfort her.

Onyx came running back with the things Shadow told her to get as Merlas nuzzled Natalie's hand, as if looking for reassurance.
