Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"Racist," Voldemort mumbled, which made no sense.

Meanwhile Holly lay on the ground looking at the stars.
"OHMIGOD!" she exclaimed, "THE SKY TURNS BLACK WHEN ITS LATE!"

Shadow made a move, sighing.

Voldemort moved his piece as quickly as possible so that he could go back to staring at Shadow in what he hoped was a menacing look.

"Im bored," George commented, "Can I go?"
"Yup." Holly said.
"Awww but I dont wanna!"

Shadow raised an eyebrow at Voldemort. His look was menacing, but it didn't impress her. She made her move.

Voldemort looked down at the board.
He was loosing.
"Oh dear." he muttered, and studied, "Where's your sister Roth?"

"Somewhere." Shadow said, throwing her own menacing look.

"Thank you for clearing that up," Voldemort said sarcastically, and moved his piece, "HAHA! SNAP!"
He had forgotten the object of the game already.


"I have this weird feeling," Holly commented to George.
"It's okay, my brother says it's just a normal part of growing up," George said wisely.
"No .... I feel like we're gonna be kidnapped."
"Oh..."

Shadow rolled her eyes and made a move.
"Checkmate. I win."

Voldemort stared at the board for a moment and then pouted, looking very girl-like.
"You cheated!" he insisted, "Rematch!"

"Kidnapped eh?" George asked, "I imagine that would be fun."
"Yes, oodles of fun," Holly said absently, looking around, "It's probably just part of the task ... and they'll lock us in a room in the Riddle's place and tell our other halfs and see if they would sacrifice themselves for us."
George sighed. "Jack wouldn't."
"Ha ha," Holly said softly.

Shadow rolled her eyes again.
"You need to read the rulebook again. That was a legal move."

Voldemort wiped his eyes.
"I always loose ... even when I play against myself! Now leave me be whilst I stare out of the window gloomily!"

"Excuse me," came a voice from behind Holly and George. They turned around, staring into the darkness.
"Yeeeah?" Holly called back.
"We're here to kidnap you and place you in a room in the Riddle's place and tell your other halfs and see if they would sacrifice themselves for you."
"Told you." Holly said wisely.

"If you can't lose gracefully, don't bother playing." Shadow pointed out.

"What are you an advice giver?" Voldemort asked sourly.
It had sounded a lot better in his head.

Holly and George and the mystery person landed in 'The Riddle's Place'.
"I hear Shadow," Holly remarked, "It sounds like she's ... beating Voldy at chess..."
"I hear Voldy," George remarked, "It sounds like he's ... being beaten at chess..."
"Shut up." Holly and the mystery woman remarked in unison, and said mystery persona dragged the two to a room.

Shadow looked up.
"Holly." She said before standing up and striding towards the door.

"Hall- WOW." Holly began, before she was dragged off, "S'okay, you take care o' the big lad, I shall meet you .... eh.... back at school?"
"Now how on EARTH did you know Voldemort was about to turn mean?" the mystery woman asked.
"Twin intuition," Holly replied, which just did not make any sense.

Shadow, her eyes blazing red, turned to Voldemort. Her magic stretched out into the air in menacing tendrils as she hovered a few feet above the floor.

"Didn't see THAT coming," Voldemort commented, but took out his black wand and looked expectantly at Shadow.
The mystery woman pushed Holly and George into the room, and hurried off to find Jack.

"You will let them go, NOW!" Shadow ordered, her voice echoing from all the shadows of the room.

"That's her," Holly commented to George proudly.
"Yay," George said sarcastically, looking around, "What about MY other half?"
"Meh," Holly commented shrugging.

"Will I now?" Voldemort asked, eyebrows raised, "No no, I have been instructed to keep them here as long as I possibly can. Yay me!"

Shadow growled, and a tendril of magic shot out towards Voldemort

Voldemort dodged out of the way quickly.
"We needn't FIGHT about it," he said, "We can compromise if you like, you know how we like compromise."
He smiled.

Suddenly, the mystery woman and Jack appeared in the room, and the mystery woman left.
"I heard there was a party...." Jack said confusedly, "This ain't no party...."

"Let them go." Shadow ordered again.

"Compromise!" Voldemort whined, stamping his foot, "I don't want to fiiight!"
"Let my friend go Sir!" Jack said, holding his hands out to show he was unarmed.


"Wanna go see what they're doin?" Holly asked George after a moment.
"Oh yeah SURE!" George said sarcastically, "We'll just use one of your hair clips to magically open the 'locked-from-the-outside' door, waltz on in there, get some popcorn and sit opposite in order to watch our friends fight with Voldemort!"
"You coming or what?" Holly asked from the now 'unlocked-via-hairclip' door, popcorn in hand.
"Sure," George said, and ran after her.

Shadow had just thrown several more bolts of magic at VOldemort, now completely p*ssed off.

Voldemort danced around the room, missing each of the bolts with a strange kind of style.
"You finished yet?" he asked.

"Hallo," George said entering the room. Holly walked in after him.
"You need help and/or a distraction yet Rothers?" she asked casually.
