Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Knowledge shrugged.
"I don't mind, unless it's happy or sarcasm."

Holly grinned.
"Thats alright then." she said, reading.

Shadow started to stir slightly and Knowledge snapped the book shut, placing it back on the shelf before going to check on Shadow.
"Carefully." She warned as Shadow sat up.

Holly looked up sharply, and hurried to Shadow's side, looking concerned.
"S'me," she said, though as much was obvious.

Shadow turned her head and smiled at Holly, relieved.

Holly smiled back.
"Are you in pain?" she asked, glancing sideways at her leg.

Shadow shook her head slowly. There was residual pain, but she didn't say that to Holly. She looked at her leg, which was scarred, but otherwise intact.
"You're going to limp for a while." Knowledge said.

"You'll be like Raven," Holly said with a slight smile.

"Raven's is permanent." Shadow said softly. "I hope this one sin't."

"It wont be," Holly assured her, though she herself was sure of no such thing.

Shadow sighed, swinging her head round to stand up, but she collapsed as she put weight on her leg. Growling in frustration, she sat on the table again.

Holly was too late in her heroic reach out to help, and so winced.
"We'll give it a minute before moving on," she said.

Shadow nodded silently.

Holly nodded noisily. (hehe)
"So ... was Rage the cause of this whole thing to begin with?" she asked Knowledge.

Knowledge nodded.
"She's always trying to do that, and that's the first time she managed."

"And its all over now?" Holly asked.

"She'll try again soon or later." Knowledge said.

"Mm..." Holly said, imagining what it must be like to have someone like Rage living in your head. She was glad she just had herself and Natalie-Angel.

Shadow stood up again, taking care not to put too much weight on her injured leg.

Holly held out an arm to steady her, and nodded.
"Good..."

Sadow smiled gratefully at her friend.

Holly smiled back.
"Are we getting out of this memory of yours?" she asked.

Shadow nodded, looking at Knowledge. The yellow cloaked emotion summoned a portal for them.

"Bye Knowledge," Holly said, stepping backwards to let Shadow go through first.

Shadow limped through the portal and ended emerged in her cavern home.
