Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"I do thorough research," the man said, smiling slightly for the first time, "They told me that might annoy you."
"Who told you?" Holly asked, pocketing a second photograph of her parents and herself.
"My boss," the man muttered, craning his neck to see what Holly was taking, "Leave those please .... though I doubt it matters ... now that I have you it doesnt matter ..."
He clicked his fingers and instantly silver chains bound Holly and Shadow.
"Can I ask why the silver for me?" Holly asked.
"In case she had passed some magic onto you..."
"Smart." Holly said sarcastically.

"Yeah right, humans can't handle demonic magic." Shadow said, trying not to show how much the silver hurt.
"And who is your master?"

"Yeah, they cant," Holly said, trying, and failing to sound smart.
"Oh you dont know him," the man said dismissively, "But he knows you..."
He grinned and indicated the many photographs.
"Now dont go thinkin' im some kind of sicko...." he assured them, taking his wand and producing a patronus, "It's all strictly business."
He spoke briefly to his panguin patronus, and it waddled away.

Shadow pulled at the chains, managing to bend them out of shape a little, then a bit more...

Holly noticed these actions, and decided to keep Mr "Im-not-a-perve" talking.
"Who was that to?" she asked, meaning the patronus.
"My boss." the man said, summoning a chair and sitting in front of the two, "I know you two better than you know eachother ... maybe better than you know yourselves."
He grinned, proud of himself.

"I highly doubt it." Shadow muttered, starting to chew on the chains which had decided to fight back.

"So do I," Holly muttered, not entirely truthfully, "Now would you please let us go, thank you, most appreciated."
She held her hands out expectantly.
"Im not an idiot!" the man hissed, "Now shut up. Wait in silence!"
"I hate silence."

"Trust me, she does." Shadow said, giving up on the chains.

"Thank you .... wait-"
"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT SILENCE!" the man yelled, like a little girl.
"Freak," Holly muttered, just as there was a series of loud pops behind them.
"YOU STOOD, ON MY NEW CONVERSE!" someone yelled, stepping into view.

Shadow turned round with a bored expression.

"This better be good Timbers," a more professional voice muttered angrilly.
"It is sir," the man (Timbers, evidently), "I have them!"
"Them? Who's .... THEM!"
The man appeared more excited than anyone ever ever ever.
"GET TO WORK!" he ordered the other three people who had arrived with him.

"The phrase 'get to work' never really comes out good." Shadow said with a bored tone of voice.

"DID I ASK YOU A QUESTION?" the new man asked.
"You did just now-"
"Be quiet," he snapped, and his 'friends' surrounded Holly and Shadow with tape measures and 'Arias knows that else'.

Shadow raised an eyebrow, not liking the look of things.

"Excuse moi!" Holly said, doing that head thing she sometimes does where she brings it all the way around in a gangsta' fashion.
"Whatever," the only woman of the group said, and measured Holly from head to toe, "164 cm's" she called to the main man, who wrote this down.

Another person stuck a thermometer in Shadow's mouth, which she bit clean through and spat on the ground.

"Uhmm....." Holly said, "Isnt there harmful mercury in that?" she asked, as a second one was stuck into her own.
"Yes," the woman said smiling, "This one's normal."
She pointed at Holly.

"And you couldn't tell that from just looking at us?" Shadow said pointedly. "And Hol, not may human poisons work."

"They probably do on humans," Holly pointed out, as the woman looked her up and down.
"Perve," Holly muttered, looking around as if she had not been the one to utter this.
"Good condition," the woman said to herself, and took out a ... (tries to remember the name) Blood Pressure Taker Thingy. ((Im pretty sure thats not it lmao))

She attached said BPTT to Holly's arm, and pressed a button.
"Whats tha' for?" Holly asked.
"It's a blood Pressure Taker Thingy," the woman said, reading the measurement, "Meh, she'll do."
"FOR WHAT?" Holly yelled. She, was rather annoyed.

The person taking Shadow's blood pressure's eyes nearly bluged out of his head.
"Er... can someone make sure there isn't something wrong with my eyes please, because otherwise... SHE HAS NO BLOOD PRESSURE AT ALL!"

And all this time, Shadow had a grin on her face that was a cross between evil and smug.

Holly snorted and calmed herself.
"....that is weird..." the woman admitted and looked at Shadow suspisiously, "You aren't wearing a wire are you?"
Regardless, she took out a metal detector and began searching both girls.
"You're really annoying me now," Holly muttered expressionlessly.

Shadow sighed.
"Why do you want us?" She asked.

"Workers," the woman said simply, but did not elaborate.
"We hear you're good 'uns." said the man.

"Excuse me for pointing this out, but if you wanted workers, you go and put an advert in the Daily Prophet. You don't stalk them." Shadow said.

"Not LEGAL ones!" the man said, as if this were obvious.
