Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"Holly's legal." Shadow pointed out. "Apart from maybe because of her level of intelligence."

Holly didnt get this, but acted as if she did.
"Yeah! Thats right!" she argued to the man, who sighed.
"Look, we heard about you from Voldy, who said you would do more or less any illegal thing we couldnt do if we knew where your weaknesses were, then he turned all soft and so left us to figure out what the weaknesses were, and we believe we have. So shut up, and let us continue!"
He shone a light into Holly's eye.
"That is bright," she commented.

Shadow narrowed her eyes as she sensed someone probing her mind.
"Not ******* likely!" She hissed.

"Oooh, touchy," the woman commented, in a manor that made Holly want to yank all her hair off and feed it to a cow.
"So, uh, you just need work...?" Holly asked, "What kind would that be...?"
"Oh just some stuff." the man said shrugging, "Getting dark magic items, killing a few people, its all in the spirit of fun!"

Shadow narrowed her eyes further until they were catlike slits.
"How many times. Not in my lifetime will I serve under anyone!"

"Havent you already?" The woman asked, "Where was that comeback when Voldy was makin' you do all that stuff, huh pumpkin?"

Shadow growled low in her throat.
"You try saying anything when you're chained up as a wolf."

"Okay!" the woman said, as if not really listening, "I think we're done."
"Great!" the man said jumping up, "Excellent! Both in good condition?"
"The best," the woman said nodding, "Well ... apart from not having a blood pressure in this one..."

Shadow rolled her eyes.

"Thats .... weird," the man admitted, "Okay, let's go then."
"Where?" Holly asked, stamping her foot like a child, "I want to go to Hogwarts!"

Shadow bared her fangs in a snarl.
"Not until hell freezes over."

"But hell- ooooh...." Holly said, shutting up just in time.
"Now you're just annoying me," the man hissed at Shadow, before grabbing the two and apparating.

Shadow landed and her growl echoed around the place... wherever she had landed...

"Well that was unexpected," Holly commented, standing and brushing herself off, "Where's this and why doesn't it have a slushie machine?"
"This is my humble abode," the man said, and strutted around in a circle, "My manor. Ha! Bet you dont live in a manor kid!"
"Actually I do," Holly lied, "And its bigger than this."
"Lies!" the man said, thoroughly offended.
"What's your name?" Holly asked, wanting to move on as soon as possible.
"Linda," the man said truthfully.

Shadow looked around, trying to shake off the feeling of disorientatio.

Holly raised an eyebrow, as if acccusing the man of lying.
"Linda...riiiight."
"Dont laugh!" the man said, "My parents were crazy. Anyway, I will show you to your room and you will NOT bug me until I bug you okay?"
"Uh-"
"Great!"

"Try, not in the lifetime of a vampire!" Shadow snarled.

"Vampires have long lives!" Holly added, for effect.
"Yes, I KNOW THAT!" the man said, "I AM A VAMPIRE!"
"Scary," Holly said.

"One of my brothers is a half vampire, and we demons live almost as long." Shadow pointed out.

"Unless you're killed for arrogance," the man said, evidently irritated, "Now shut up, and come on!"
"Dont tell my friends to shut up!" Holly whined.

"Try killing me, it won't get you far." Shadow said.

"OH I WILL TRY!" the man hissed and pushed Holly's shoulders, forcing her forward, "COME. ON!"
"My shoulder's are sensitive!" Holly moaned.

Shadow smirked and followed after her friend, head high, sensing the man's imminent defeat.

Holly stuck her tongue out at the man half-heartedly, and trudged up the stairs.
"Now be more specific, what is it you want us to do?" she asked.

Shadow sighed, cracking the bones in her neck as she twisted it to look around again.
