Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Holly looked around desperately, looking for something that could help. She tugged once more on said silver ribbion, and like a good child, it came off.
Holly sighed with relief and looked expectantly at Shadow.

Shadow closed her eyes, relief flooding through her like the warmth of her magic as it rushed to heal the injuries. The burn sores on her forearm healed over quickly, and eventually the demoness pushed herself slowly into a sitting positio.

"Okay?" Holly asked nervously, looking concerned.

"I'm fine Hol. Don't worry." Shadow said.

Unconvinced Holly swallowed. Just as she was about to speak, the door opened again.
"One of you has to go get info off an irksome child in Hogwarts, so named "Fred Georgesly"."
"We go together or not at all," Holly said instantly.

"Forget it." Shadow growled, her eyes glowing red.

"Or forget it," Holly said, "I like that more."
The man sighed. "I hate dealing with children." he muttered, and took out his wand again, "Dont make me Imperio the small one."

"It won't work." Shadow growled. "Not while I'm still breathing."

"Dont tempt me," the man said, smiling, "Go. Peacefully. You wont be able to teleport yourself away .... even demon teleportation doesn't work within these walls. Do this, or starve in here. Your choice."

Shadow raised an eyebrow.
"You can't kill a demon easily. And no, we're not going."

"Easier to kill a human," the man informed them, and Holly privately agreed.
There was a pause in which no one said anything, and then the man sighed.
"Imperio," he said, pointing his wand at Holly.

Shadow felt the spell batter against the defenses she had secretly put around Holly's mind. Holly would not be affected by the spell, as long as Shadow was alive to defend her mind.

Holly braced herself for force of impart, and was incredibly surprised when it did not come.
"Uhhh-"
"Go to Hogwarts. Find out the-"
As the man explained, Holly debated whether she should pretend to be imperiesed (Lu didnt know either), or tell the man the truth.

Shadow defended Holly's mind, and a small smirk played on her lips.

"This is no laughing matter!" the man said, and looked at Holly. "Well? What are you waiting for?"
Holly glanced gratefully at Shadow before scurrying out.

Shadow sat down, her back against a wall in the darker corner of the room. She glared at the man from there.

"You're an odd sort of girl," the man remarked, sitting opposite her.

Shadow raised an eyebrow.
"I was brought up like that."

The man seemed almost in disbelief. After a moment he added, "I dont get friendship.....it sickens me ... You cant trust anyone. You shouldnt trust anyone."

"I agree with that in most cases." Shadow muttered, thinking of several people who had betrayed her.

"You have the right idea then," the man said smiling, "People. They're the worst. Humans especially ..... not one of them can be trusted ... they all stab you in the back..."
He seemed to be talking more to himself now.

Shadow shut up again.

After a few more tedious complaints, Holly returned, looking nervous, but like someone under the 'Imperio' curse.
"Ah, good."
Holly made up gibberish, which seemed to please the man, and he un-imperiesed her.

Shadow sighed with relief, the pressure on her mind vanishing with the spell.

"I am satisfied," the man said, and exited the room, face expressionless.
Holly's eyes widened in Shadow's direction.
