Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Snape didnt bother taking points from Holly, nor did he aknowledge the fact that Shadow had entered the room at all.

The lesson passed slowly, and in an incredibly boring fashion.
"Dismissed," Snape muttered, and the class stood hurriedly, almost running to the door.

Shadow leapt off the chair, bolting out of the classroom with her tail between her legs. That was the last time she sniffed a potion and Holly added an ingredient at the same time. Of course, the potion had exploded in her face...

"Sorry," Holly called after her, hurrying to catch up, "Honest mistake!"

Shadow was cowering behind a statue, and she nipped Holly's leg as she went past.

"Okay!" Holly said, stepping back, "Are we even now? Im sorry!"

Shadow still looked rather p*ssed off, but she nodded.

"Okay, good," Holly said, "Now Ill be right back, I left my Potions book in there."
Leaving Shadow, Holly turned and entered the potions classroom.
She was halfway back out, book in hand, when she heard two voices.

"......Yes, I know the very one. She was in my class just moments ago."
"Ah, well she may be travelling with her. Or in her dormitory. All we know is, she can morph. Into a wolf, to be exact."
"You know a lot about it."
"I have speant the past year tailing them."
"You dropped out of school to do that?"
"Yes. It was worth it."

Shadow waited patiently by the statue, waiting for Holly.

Holly froze, listening to the voices.

".......I will find out where her next class is, and you can surprise her, eh? She'll be happy to see an old friend, wont she?"
"Of course."
The two figures stepped out of Snape's study, their backs to Holly.
Riley grinned. "She'll be thrilled."

Shadow frowned and wandered back to the potions classroom, passing by Snape's office. She looked at Holly, head on one side.

Holly glanced back at Snape and Riley, and then hurried out of the classroom, ushering Shadow out ahead of her.

Shadow dug her claws into the stone, but it didn't make much of a difference. She was completely bewildered.

Holly pressed her ear to the door, and was glad to hear the pair exiting the other way.
"That crazy guy sent Riley to get you!" she burst out, as soon as it was safe.

Shadow looked at Holly, before an ear flicked, as iff to say: 'Is that a problem?'

"And bring you back," she added, "To crazy guy. Who is in cahoots with Voldy! Why are you so calm!?"

Shadow shrugged and started to head for the next lesson, Care of Magical Creatures.

Holly stopped herself strangling something, and followed Shadow, gibbering about how bad this was all the way.

Shadow just didn't listen to Holly as she bounded down the steps and loped across the grass to Hagrid's hut.

Holly sighed miserably, but couldn't help feel a little happier, watching the happy little wolf.

"Well well well," came a voice from behind Holly, "Long time so see Bristol."
Holly knew that voice, and turned.
"Hi...." she said, wondering when she should run.
Riley grinned.
"How have you been?"
"Uh...good...."
"What's wrong?" Riley asked concerned, "And who's the dog you've been seen with?"
He lowered his voice.
"Is it Shadow?"

Holly sighed miserably, but couldn't help feel a little happier, watching the happy little wolf.

"Well well well," came a voice from behind Holly, "Long time so see Bristol."
Holly knew that voice, and turned.
"Hi...." she said, wondering when she should run.
Riley grinned.
"How have you been?"
"Uh...good...."
"What's wrong?" Riley asked concerned, "And who's the dog you've been seen with?"
He lowered his voice.
"Is it Shadow?"

Shadow growled deep in her throat at the mention of her name.

Riley looked down at her.
"It is, innit? You can tell me dude..."
Holly opened her mouth to say something most likely stupid, but was saved by Hagrid's booming voice calling the seventh years around.

Shadow bit Riley for good measure before trotting after Holly.

Riley ignored this bite, and stood behind Holly was the whole of the Care of Magical Creatures explanation.
The teenagers were instructed to go into the forest, and find a pixie. Whoever found one the fastest, would get an A for the day.
The last thing Holly wanted to do was go into the forest with several million people wanting her dead, but of course, like brunette's do, she did, beckoning for Shadow to follow her.

Shadow happily followed Holly and spotted a pixie. Crouching low to the ground, she got ready to pounce on it.
