Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Holly almost grinned, despite how worried she was.
"Nice one." she said, and scowled as she noticed Riley was following them.

Shadow trotted back to Holly, the pixie safe and unharmed in her closed mouth.

"Good job," Holly said, taking the pixie and patting Shadow gratefully on the head.
"Why did she come with you?" Riley asked.

Shadow growled at Riley agai, hackles raised.

"Easy," Holly said softly, "He hasn't-"
Holly never got to finish that sentence, for a moment later she found a hand over her mouth, and her hands tied together.
This, was Riley. Man could he move fast. But he's a dingus. Dont forget that bit.

Shadow barked leaping at Riley with her fangs bared.

"Nice doggy," Riley said, and Holly could tell there was a smirk on his face. He used his free hand to summon a length of silver, and send it towards Shadow, aiming for the wolf's neck.

Shadow, being airbourne, had no way to dodge the silver band and it wrapped around her neck. Falling to the ground, she scratched feverishly at it.

Holly made a noise that was meant to be "Dont!" but it came out as "Duhhhn!"
Evidently pleased, Riley grinned and looked around.
"No one here to see my great capture....oh well....they will learn soon enough."
Holly kicked out behind her, causing nothing what so ever to happen.

"Im sorry," Riley said shortly, "But Its my orders. Now, come on, the rest of them are waiting a little further in the forest."

Shadow made no attempt to move, apart from trying to get the metal off her neck.

Riley sighed.
"You both could have come to the good side you know. Then we'd still be friends."
"We were never friends," Holly managed to spit.
Riley kicked Shadow once.
"Come on."
He pulled Holly along with him, making for the centre of the forest.

Shadow growled at Riley, but she followed, tense as a coiled spring.

"Why does this man need us?" Holly asked roughly, glad Riley's hand was no longer covering her mouth.
"Im not quite sure," Riley admitted, "But I promise you this ... you wont be alive this time twelve hours. He seemed pretty p*ssed at you."
Holly glanced towards Shadow, worriedly.

Shadow's wolfish face remained impassive as she loped alongside them.

"We're here." Riley said shortly. Indeed, it appeared they were.
Two tents had been set up in a clearing ahead.
"You're that side," Riley said pointing to the left hand side and pushing Holly towards it.
"Roth, you're that side."
"She has to stay with me!" Holly said, meaning to say "I have to stay with her". The way she had said it sounded selfish.
"Too bad," Riley said, not sounding sorry at all. He opened the tent flap and pushed Holly inside, before returning to Shadow.

Shadow raised her hackles, growling menacingly at Riley.

"That wont do you any good, you cant use your magic ... remember?"
He grinned slyly at Shadow and opened the tent flap.
"In you go. Im sure they'll go easy on you."

Meanwhile, Holly stepped inside her tent, rather afraid.
"Ah. He actually did something right." commented the voice of Bond from a shadowy corner of the tent, "Is Roth in the other tent?"
Holly nodded once.

Shadow just sat down, refusing to move. There was a challenge in her eyes, meaning 'make me'.

Riley sighed and walked towards Shadow.
"Meran's in there. Would you rather me make you go inside, or him?"

Shadow looked at the boy in shock. She stood up and walked slowly towards the tent, head down and tail between her legs again.

Riley nodded.
"Thought so."
He followed her into the tent.

Bond walked in a circle around Holly.
"Still running .... " he said, "All your life you've been running from something ... Bristol. ... but dont worry. That's all going to end tonight..."

Shadow looked around the tent, wondering what was going to happen. She listened in on the other tent and her heart sank.

Evil, the man from before in case anyone was wondering, was waiting for Shadow.
"Good work Farthing," he said to Riley and nodded at him. "You can leave."
Riley nodded, and left the tent.
"Meran is not here. That was a trick I thought Id use to get you in." Evil admitted.

"Your crimes... however small ... are too numerous to mention, Holly Bristol, and so a while back, I teamed up with the rest of the people who want you dead .... and we decided to find your weakness..... we did."
Bond smiled, and Holly gulped.

Shadow bared her fangs at Evil and turned tail to run out of the tent.

"You cannot run from me," Evil called in a tinkling tone, and he clicked his fingers, causing a brick wall to appear a few centimetres away from Shadow.

Holly heard this and looked across, ears pricked.
"What's happening to Shadow?" she asked Bond, "Tell me now."
"Your friend will be fine. I promise."
"I dont trust you."
