Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"Uh....." Holly looked around desperately for a wand or something, "Voldy, can I borrow your wand?"

Voldemort looked at Meran carefully and then passed Holly his wand.
"Yes ... we are simply talking."
He turned back to Meran to answer his question.
"Because deep deep ... deeeeep down, you know its the right thing to do."

"Bull." Holly muttered, as she began her feeble attempt to heal Shadow.

Shadow groaned quietly as most of the cuts healed over slowly.

"And I know that she deserves it." Meran countered.

"Is it really her you're mad at....?" Voldemort asked seriously.

Holly was thrilled that she was doing something right, and finished up.
"Feel any better?" she asked Shadow.

Shadow nodded slowly, gingerly getting to her feet, only to fall over again because of the weight of her wings.

Meran nodded, smirking.

"Okay look what the hell is with these wings?" Holly burst out, standing to hold her arm out to Shadow.

"I dont think it is," Voldemort said.

"If it hadn't been for that demoness, her mother would have married me and there would have been no problem." Meran snarled.

Shadow shrugged, managing to remain on her feet.

"She wouldnt have married you anyway." Voldemort said reasonably, "She would have seen this side of you sooner or later."

"Okay....Im gonna give him back his wand...and we're gonna get out of here." Holly said quietly, "Agreed?"

Shadow nodded tiredly, her magic making a feeble attempt to finish the healing process.

Meran shook his head.
"No, I am only like this around her." He glared at the demoness.

"Ill fix you when we get back, keep your energy," Holly urged, throwing a scowl at Meran before opening up the tent entrance and standing back to let Shadow out first.

"I dont believe you." Voldemort said reasonably, having taken his wand from Holly a few seconds prior.

Meran smirked.
"Then you are just thick." He said before also turning to leave.

Shadow managed to walk with some of her former grace out of the tent.

Holly followed, a little nervous of Meran who was following.

"Wait, Im not finished!" Voldemort lied.

Meran turned round again, one eyebrow raised.

Shadow stopped in a nearby clearing.

"Whats the capital of Denmark!?" Voldemort invented.

Holly stopped instantly too.
"What, something wrong?" she asked.

"Copenhaguen." Meran answered easily.

"Just tired." Shadow said quietly.

((I know the capital is spelt wrong, but never mind.))

"It would help if I knew what the capital was...." Voldemort said, "New question- What's my favourite colour?"

"Oh..." Holly said, unable to keep the worry out of her voice, "Im really glad you're .... ok....ish...."

"Pink?" Meran said, one eyebrow raised.

Shadow shrugged, her black wings drooping.

((French geography curriculum.))

((Yeah ... Irish too, but that you actually remember it ... thats impresssive ))

"Damn." Voldemort hissed, "Okay, what's my favourite song at the moment?"

Holly bit her lip.
"Now, what is up with those?" she asked.

"That I don't know." Meran said, bored.

"How should I know?" Shadow snapped tiredly.

"AHA! It's 'Never Forget' by Take That. I love the part at the beginning where the little boy sings.....anyway.... I think you are free to go, but give me your word that you will not bother my friends again." Voldemort said suddenly strict.

Holly looked at the ground uncomfortably, a little scared to suggest running any further.

"I don't make oaths I will not keep." Meran said, striding out of the tent.

"Oh yeah, you run away!" Voldemort said, and then thought, "Hey! Wait!"

Meran moved in the opposite direction from the girls, ignoring Voldemort.

"What if they dont go away!" Holly said suddenly, "And you're like that forever!?"

Voldemort sighed, happy at least that Meran wasnt following them.
"Back to my foot spa...." he said grinning.

"I live with it." Shadow said simply.

Holly stared at her for a moment and then nodded.
"Wouldnt be the worst thing ... but Im sure someone back at school can fix it....."
