Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Shadow stayed silent, a wolf looking at the portal with the judges behind her.

"Yup.......I don't hear an apology!" Holly called, "I'm okay here on my own ... ah ha ...."

LITTLE DID SHE KNOW there was someone behind her. And of course, she got all taken and stuff. Said person apparated away with her before she had time to tell "WTF?!"

Shadow whined quietly, and jumped back through the portal. She morphed back.
"HOLLY?!"

A billion miles away, Holly heard this call, and attempted to call back, but couldn't considering there was a hand over her mouth.
It's always me..... she thought.

Shadow gritted her teeth, locked onto Holly's mental pattern, and teleportel to her friend's side.

Holly looked around.
"Weird." she commented, and turned to see who had her captive.
"Miss me much?" Bond asked happily.
"Oh Arias..." Holly muttered sadly.

"Not you AGAIN." Shadow groaned as she spotted Bond.

"Yes, ME AGAIN!" Bond cackled, "AAAAH! I AM SO AWESOME!"
Holly rolled her eyes and side stepped toward Shadow.
"What do you WANT!?"

"Seriously, I lost count of the number of times you've been after us." Shadow said.

"Twenty nine." Holly said instantly, "And a half."
"Half?" Bond asked, but did not ask her to elaborate, "Now, I have a quest for you children! A veeeeeery interesting kind of quest. It will involve cunning, strength and mental .... ity ..."
"What?" Holly asked, eyes narrowed.
"Can you open this jar of pickles for me please?" Bond asked hopefully.

Shadow rolled her eyes.
"And you need us for this because..."

"I can't do it," Bond said sadly, "And now my hands are sore...."
Holly sighed and opened the jar without so much as a wince.
"Can we GO now?"
"No, I have more plans!"

Shadow sighed, and folded her arms.
"What is it this time?"

"A quest!" Bond announced proudly, but then he fell over and had to start again.
"I mean, A QUEST!"
There was silence.
"I was expecting a cheer or something, but whatever," he muttered, "Now, your quest is thus, go to HIS house and retrieve my wand. He stole it from me last week and I really need it ... "
Bond pouted.
"Wha....? Who?" Holly asked bewildered.
"I hate saying his name!"
"Voldemort?" Holly guessed.
"No no ... worse ... we BOTH hate him ..."

"Get on with it." Shadow said boredly.

"I AM TRYING TO BUILD UP TENSION!" Bond whined, "WOULD YOU LET ME DO MY JOB!?"
"Who, Meran?" Holly asked, totally ignoring him.
Bond nodded.
"He has my wand ... wherever he is ... and I need it back. Go get it for me. That is all."
"And we are expected to do this without complaint?!"
"Yup."

"NOT IN THIS BLOODY LIFETIME!" Shadow yelled.

Holly and Bond both jumped two feet in the air, and then calmed down.
"Aha, but you HAVE to!" he said tauntingly, "Cause I have something you don't have.... hahahahha!"
"What?" Holly asked, eyebrows narrowed.
"Who did you leave behind?" Bond asked, "What two kiddies were not invited? Hm? Who did you leave unattended?"

"If it's a prankster and a nerd, then you're in deep trouble whether I rescue them or not." Shadow said.

"Uh-huh," Bond said smiling, "Good isn't it? It's not ME who has them captive oh no no no no no, I have had one too many encounters with them. My minions are looking after them at the moment. They are not harmed, and shall remain so ... assuming of course that you take me up on my offer ... ?"

"I will NEVER go near that (insert several beeps here)!!!!" Shadow yelled.

"Fine, I'll find someone else." Bond said, and took out a walkie-talkie.
"I'm afraid they are not co-operating," he said into it, "You know what to - "
"Wa-wa-wa-wa-wait a second," Holly said, holding her hands up, "What ... what if I do it?"
Bond nodded.
"That will suffice...."

Shadow gritted her teeth.

"Bring me back my wand, as soon as is possible, and everyone goes home a winner..... Why so sad Roth? You'll get your kids back ... if you do the job right ... "
Holly swallowed.
"That's an awful lot of pressure," she said weakly.

Shadow raised one clenched fist.
"Or you let them go before this fist connects with your nose... again."
