Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Shadow landed shortly after right next to her.

"Christ," Holly muttered, clutching her side. She pulled out a piece of glass from it, "Hello saviour," she added to Shadow.

Shadow smiled at her friend.

"Where are they?" Holly asked quietly, loudness being almost impossible in her current state of pain.
"Here," one of the men said, hovering a few metres above them, "Thank goodness you're okay."
"Like you care," Holly said.

Shadow groaned quietly at the sight of the two.

"That's no way to greet people," one of them said coldy, and took out his wand, "Crucio,"
He pointed it at Shadow.

Shadow twitched slightly, but otherwise gave no indication of the pain apart from what showed in her deep purple eyes.

The man's eyebrow raised, and he tried again.
"Would you stop that?" Holly asked sourly, still in pain.

Shadow still refused to give in to the pain, but her body began to tremble slightly.

The man smiled ever so slightly, and 'crucio'ed once more. Holly felt rather helpless, just lying there, all 'in another dimension' and what not.
"Stop it," she muttered, and the man took his wand back, grinning.

Shadow had held out against the crucios until the third, where her legs buckled beneath her, and she fell to her hands and knees, head bowed.

Holly swore at the smiling man, and awkwardly reached out her little finger to meet Shadow's. It was the best she could do in such a dilemma.

Shadow didn't notice Holly, her mind focused on not letting the man have the satisfaction of hearing her scream. The ribbon of silver around her arm burned, adding to the pain.

"So weak," the man said in a tinkling voice, as Holly drew her hand back.
"She's not weak," Holly spat, but even her saying this sounded weak.
The man snorted, "Come on then," he said, "Dont make me do that again....."

Shadow continued to tremble, oblivious to what was going on around her.

"Get up," Evil (the man) said, and kicked Holly in the stomach.
Holly ignored this and pushed herself up. She touched Shadow's shoulder. "Shad..."

Shadow dragged herself to her feet, stumbling slightly. She kept her head bowed, deep purple hair shielding her face from view.

Holly stood up awkwardly, teetered, and gained balance, slightly.
"Where're we goin?" she asked bitterly.
"Somewhere I can keep an eye on you." the man muttered, and put a hand on each female's shoulder, preparing to apparate.

Shadow flinched as the man put his hand on her shoulder. Without her magic, she couldn't heal herself, or bounce back from the cruciatus curse like she normally did.

Holly let herself be apparated, and found herself in a dark room, with no windows, and evidently no furniture.
"Ill come back for you when I need a job done," muttered the man, and he left through the only door. A moment later there was a click. They were locked in.

Holly turned to Shadow.
"You okay?"

Shadow answered Holly's question by promptly collapsing.

Holly was not quick enough to catch her friend, and so crouched down, still dizzy, to her side.
"Dude, don't do this to me ... Shadow....?"

Shadow's breathing was hoarse. As much as she denied it, she felt more pain than humans, but her magic had always allowed her to spring back. The silver denied her this relief.

Holly was utterly baffled, and then realised what was on Shadow's wrist.
She swore silently at herself, and pulled on the silver. It didnt budge. She tried slipping it over her friend's wrist. This did not work either.

Shadow's lips curled back in a snarl of pain as the silver moved on her arm, still burning.
