Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"I don't know, interdimensional magic." Shadow said.

Holly stared.
"Uhm.....in Holly language please...." she said lamely.

"I don't know if anyone on earth can help." Shadow said.

Holly bit her lip.
"Aw man....well....Ill sleep on it ... lets get back to school, you look exhausted."

Shadow nodded slowly and started to make her way slowly up towards the castle.

((AHHAHAHAHAHHA IM CATCHING UP ON POSTS!!!!!))

Holly nodded distantly, and led the way back, trying to think of something sensible to say.

Shadow trudged on behind Holly, her mind too tired to think.

"So cheese....it goes mouldy right?" Holly said.

Shadow nodded, trying to rebuild her mental defenses.

"Huh...." Holly said thoughtfully opening the castle door.

Shadow walked in, ignoring the stares from other students.

"Take a picture, it wont beat you up." Holly said seriously to a boy a year younger than her, who seemed to crumble at these words.

"I'll see you in the dorm Hol." Shadow said, hiding her hurt as she disappeared.

"Yeah o-"
Holly looked around for Shadow, and on not seeing her, proceeded to taking the stairs three at a time.

Shadow landed in the dorm, and promptly collapsed from exhaustion. The teleportation had taken the last of her energy.

Holly arrived a minute later, out of breath, but in one piece.
"I ran all the way from....."
She spotted Shadow and sighed lightly.
"You have a habit of doing that...."

Shadow opened her eyes again, and sat up.
"Urg..."

"Yeah.....what?" Holly asked, crouching in front of her interestedly.

"Exhausted." Shadow said quietly, closing her eyes again.

"Hey, dont fall asleep yet," Holly said, "Your on the floor....."
She grinned weakly.
"Here's a sentence I never thought Id say as long as Jamie's alive, but get into my bed kiddo...."

Shadow shook her head.
"You have school tomorrow. I just have to learn how to use these." She gestured to her wings.

"Its school." Holly said, "Its unimportant....cant I come with you? To help?"
Of course, she would be of no help. Just dont tell Shadow.

Shadow shook her head again.
"No, this kind of training and learning involves jumping off towers."

Holly looked at her suspisciously.
"Well then I have to come....I probably wont be of much use ... but I gotta be there."

"No." Shadow said firmly. "You are going to class."
